I don't have one installed but it looks like a pretty good thing to have.
    Thanks for posting it.

I just "pulled the trigger" and bought one at Amazon. I had been eyeing this for a while. So, decided to get it.

Is this not very similar to a engine immobilisers? In Canada all new cars must have one installed....

On my truck, the car alarm (Viper 5900) the truck cannot be started without my key in the ignition. My buddy told me when he installed it that you definately need the key in to have it start. There is something he said he did to the starter to make it work this way, cost me an extra $70 for some special kit or chip he installed.

Apparently it works the same way with remote start, where if the key is not in, it wont go anywhere.

Yes, I will- even take some pics.

The Starter Sentry system is not supposed to allow to start the vehicle unless a key fob is present. (Yes, like an engine immobilizer system.)

If you have a chip key/immobilizer you should not need anything like this. This looks basically like a starter immobolizer add on.

I like the thingee that goes into the driver's seat and delivers about 50,000 volts into a dumb ass (technical jargon for auto thief).

Received last week. Haven't had time to install/play with it. I'll also get some better pics than what I could find online. I'll try to get them up tomorrow.
