Well I spent another $3.25 tonight getting all the mud leftover from the first wash off. Now it's clean and I'm happy.

Do any of you know anything about HID lights? I'm looking into getting either slims HID's or the xenon's but slims are a lot cheaper and I don't want to be buying bulbs all the time due to poor quality. Any input would be helpful.
I know there is a whole forum directed to this and I've read it but I hate asking stupid questions.

Haha why thank you... I have arrived

I know my fair share about lights (and plastiderp), what are your concerns? And one thing to clear the water first of all... Technically, a high-intensity-discharge (HID) light and xenon headlights are the same thing. They are named for the inert gas they employ to amplify light produced by electricity jumping between two electrodes. There is a lot of confusion there and a lot of companies that make filament bulbs throw the word "Xenon" around as a marketing ploy. The big difference between HID and any other type of bulb out currently is that they don't use a filament in the bulbs, which generally leads to longer life.

And Slim has a good thing going here. A lot of people run his kits and are very happy with them. Unfortunately, I have had 2 of his ballasts go out on me. He was very good at getting replacements to me though. I run Nissan/Infiniti OEM quality stuff in my headlights now, and DDM in my Hellas as they have a lifetime warranty (55w tends to be tougher on bulbs). I still have my drop in kit from Slim lying around if you want to try it out.

    Don't feed his ego....

Garret doesn't have a driveway. And I don't think the university's grounds crew would appreciate him parking his truck on the lawn.....

Exactly. I barely ever used the pressure washer back home. It was all by hand.
Oh well, It's all clean now so I don't have to worry about it. :)

I don't want to be replacing bulbs all the time which is why I wanted to know what the best kit is. I know slims are pretty cheap in price compared to the xenon kit I was looking at...which is concerning if you say his bulbs go out.

Aaaaand on that note, had a light on my Hellas go out this morning. Colter, the issue more often then not is the ballasts. Bulbs in these things last forever, as there is no filament. The ballast is easy to change, but you have to have one handy and have the tools to mount it wherever that may be. Grrrrr......... From this point on, I will not have anything sub-morimoto quality. Once I get the money to do so, I am replacing my whole setup, doing it right this time around. Sick of replacing shit all of the time. Granted, I could have put it together a bit better, but still. Hell, maybe I will just pony up for a LED bar and say screw the rest.

As of 3 days ago, lift is ordered! I was gonna try to keep it a secret but hell, secrets out haha. I figure you'll be pleasantly surprised with my choice. I only have 1 tire at my apt... the brand new one. Rest are at the rents house. I have Commited to not putting the lift on until spring though. I can get another winter out of my studded cooper discoverers I think...
