well crap....My bank is not going to let me fix the truck myself, they require me to go to a certified body shop. Looks like the front bumper and skids are back on hold

What!?!? I don't think they're allowed to do this.

If they are, that sucks. Perhaps my bank is just awesome - they let me keep the check and do whatever I wanted with it...

since it is over 2500 state farm wont write a check just to me, it has to be written to me and my bank (i still owe about 5k), and my bank wont let me not repare it or repare it myself....has to be a certified shop.

Pisses me off cause i was either going to get bumpers and skids, or put it on the principle and pay it off way early

I was thinking about fixing the front fender myself, then having the shop fix the door and rear panel, that way I can keep the difference (about $1000) for bumper or skids

Yea, it was the same for me. My insurance wouldn't write the check directly out to me, but my lienholder was . They said no prob, I just had to mail the check to them to get it endorsed so I could cash that beast.

Where are you getting a bumper AND skids for $1k? :p. I'm looking at the ATO group buy, and looking at $1k for just the skids..
