No Power,No Heat and No TV

    Wow, day 4 with no power, no heat, no tv, no Internet until I took my daughters ipad. how did they do it way back when. Snow in October? They say min. Of 1 week until anything happens, to many tree's down. Even with the generator it sucks.

    No tv or internet because a big ass tree fell and took out all the lines on the street. Generator is small and we need ref to work, need a bigger generator but there is nothing available. Everybody is sold out in the area.

    When Hurricane Ike hit here, I fired up my old laptop that still had a modem in it, and it's why I haven't gotten rid of it yet, set up a new dial-up connection to free dial up and viola! Internet. Pitifully slow, but it's still internet and using the mobile versions of websites tend to help.

    Hopefully your phone lines aren't gone and you can try this, the numbers are either:
