Good Place to Buy Decent-Sized Clay Bar?

Those kits have clay bars that are so small, not worth the price.

What are some good ones out there and where to buy?

 

Meguiars comes with a pretty good size bar.

I used the meguirs kit last time I clay bared. 2 bars come with it and if you do it right you should have plenty... I had some left over.

 

I used the clay bar over and over and over and over again. It all depends on how you shape it. It doesn't have to be a 'bar.'

Automagic sells 200g clay. You can also order blank 200g bars (grey is medium cut, which is what you want for general correction purposes) from online distributors such as detailed image. It really doesnt get any larger than that.

Autogeeks.com has some good clay, sealers, and wax. I like the Pinnacle clay an wax with Classy sealer.

 

Thanks. We used to carry clay, but the demand dropped off and it no longer made sense to carry it.

can we just delete posts like this. Adams is not the best clay. Is it a perfectly acceptable one... yes. But its not the best. However, I'm glad you had a good experience w/ them.

 

I am not going to look for the proof but I remember reading that all the clay is made by one company and then meguirs or Adams or who ever just puts their name on it so it doesn't make any difference who's you buy just buy where you get the best deal.

I believe you are correct.

From what I understand, one company holds the patent and makes it for everybody. Of course that doesn't mean they are all alike...there still can be different formulas made for Meguiar's, Mothers, etc.

I think the patent term is near running out (25 years or 50 years?), so individual manufacturers may start popping up.

 

I bought clay from you 11/5/09. Got a few bars. Guess I got lucky

 

If you use the Liquid Clay bar with the actual clay bar it works amazing and so much faster
