Need advice on new tires

I just installed XD Rockstar 775 18" black rims w/ 285/60r18 nitto dune grappler tires and a 2& 1/2" front leveling kit on my 09 taco. It looks great, but I have noticed the ride is more bumpy and I have less control on the road. Also, the 285's rub when I turn the wheel to the max. I think this set up is good for off road, but I drive on the highway most of the time. I was thinking of changing out my dune grapplers for some H/T tires. And would different tires rub less, or would they not fit on the 18x9 rims?.

why not go with 20inch ENKIES, and Nitto420' street tires?

I already got the rims...can I put those Nitto 420's on my rockstar rims? ...And would the street tires get better highway performance and rub less?

 

I'm sure you can find some 420's that will fit....Better handling that any big treaded meaty A/T's or M/T's.

I was just looking...The 420's only come in 20,22,23". But I could do a 405 or 555 in 18" ...How can I tell if they will fit my 18x9 rims? And will I get better handling with them on the highway?

So...if 18 is the rim size, and I put the 275s on the rims, they would still fit, rub less, better street handling, and get better mpg, right?

I just put a 3" Truxxx susp. lift on my 09 Dcab 4x4. I wanted to go with 285/65/18 tires. I have been studying everything. I think I want XD Series Chrome Wheels but the size of wheel and width of tire has been crushing me. The tiresI like are the dynapro MT RT03 by Hankook but they only come in 11" wide pad. Where do they measure the pad from where to where? I also think I need to stay with a max of 9.0 width on my wheels. Thoughts? The goal is big aggressive tires on chrome wheels that do not stick out past factory flare and do not rub. I need some direction please........
