    Yeah, when i bought mine the adaptor was on the top too but the guy at the store told me it went at the bottom and i was like , now it makes sence. Good thing you kept it around.

    I wanted to replace my battery in my 06 Tacoma. I ordered the yellow top from Advance Auto. Got confirmation. Went to pick it up today and they said it was not in stock. I really wasn't sure that I wanted it because of the Price and some negative comments I read on the Internet. So I went to NAPA and purchased the 27F battery. It was around $95.00 vs $212 for the Yellow Top.. Well the 27F was a little to tall for the Tacoma Battery bracket. Very heavy battery also. So I had to return it. Went to Auto zone they did not have a 27F so I ended up with a Yellow Top. The salesman at NAPA tried to talk me out of the Yellow top because he said it does not charge in your vehicle. It basically was not for a auto. Also their Yellow top had a funny part number.. I thought maybe it was an older model. Fred

    Ive ran optimas in all my trucks..Im waiting for the toyota battery in my truck now to give me problems, then its yellow top all the way..I got teh hookupz on optimas..I think I paid $150 brand new for the last one. :)

    Wow cant believe all you guys swinging on Optimas.

    Personally I think they are way overpriced and not what the used to be.

    Search the net they went down hill in quality and there are better options out there.

    Had a red top and a yellow, will not buy again.

    Yeah I've heard the same thing but I haven't had any issues with mine so far. I may have gone with a different battery like an Odyssey or Die Hard but got an amazing deal on the Yellow Top.

    Was going to get an odyssey for the truck but i couldn't spend the $300+ on the battery. I know that the main company that makes the Odyssey also make a die hard AGM one. It's one of the platinum brands, idealy similar battery just different marketing.

    Optimas have a three year free replacement. thats a pretty good warranty in my mind. Peace of mind is worth 200.00 to me.
