vibration on my steering wheel

Hey guys, I have recently noticed vibration on my steering wheel when I exceed 60mph and I think but I'm not sure that it is my wheels. They are not oem factory, I had put lithium6 liquid metal 20" 265/50 R20.
What do you think I can do?

Are the wheels newly installed?

If yes - the vibrartion started after the install of the new wheels?
This could be a balance problem. Get them rebalanced and I would request the tech rotate the tire 180 degress on the machine and spin them up again after the first initial balance to verify.

Or have you had the wheels on for a while without any problems?
If Yes - Check the wheels to make sure you didn't have any weights come off (check both outside & inside lip of the wheel).

Do you offroad? Have you been offroading lately?

Excessive dirt in the wheels can cause vibrations. Or if the allignment went outta whack after an offroading trip, that too can cause vibrations.

 

No my wheels are new very new and i think I need to balanced them, taht suck

 

I have the same problem . . . new wheels and tires . . . bigger tires . . . but they were balanced at the tire shop before installation. Maybe I should have them rebalance them.

 

took new tires and wheels back to tire shop . . . had them rebalance . . . .problem solved . . . no steering wheel vibration at speed.

 

Hello Guys,same problem here 4 cyl double cab with highlander 19" tires and wheels. Toyota giving me that it will happen do to not being OEM on this type of truck,this is the basic one and what a difference when those tires and wheels were install. It looks so nice except the dame vibration between 55-65. Giving up,Toyota dealer has align and rebalance like 3 times. Look how nice. everything install was new,wheels,tires,sensors,lug nuts.

 

I just resolved similar problem......new tires. Once replaced, vibration gone.
