I was looking around and saw these wheels and I really like them. I'm buying new wheels soon and my truck is the exact same as this one and I like the way these wheels are looking on it. I was wondering, what size do you think these wheels and tires are? On the website it says these are 17 inch KMC XD Badlands (Black Chrome) but I have been looking around for them and I don't think they are made in 17in. The smallest size that I have found is a 18 inch for this wheel. Also the site says the tires are BFG All Terrians in a 285 70 17. Do you think this is the size they really are or did they website post the information wrong, and if you think the wheel is a 18 inch wheel what size do you think the tires are? According to the website this truck has a 2.5" Daystar leveling kit. Does this mean a 2.5' lift with a leveling kit? Think the truck has any rubbing anywhere? Thanks in advance for any help. I really appreciate it.

They sure like like 18's, with 285/65/18 to me. Definately not 17's. Many of the XD wheels, including the badlands, don't come in anything smaller than 18".

2.5" leveling kit means there is a spacer lift providing 2.5" of front lift. I'm sure the truck has rubbing if they didn't trim the fender well plastic.

Hey can anyone please tell me what the very minimum amount of lift I would have to have to run 285/65/18 BFG AT KO on 18 inch wheels? I would like the smallest amount of lift possible, even if I have to trim some. The wheel specs are

    KMC XD Badlands
    Size: 18x9
    Bolt Pattern: 6x5.5
    Offset: -12
    Hub Bore: 106.25

Would it be better to get -12 offset with 4.53in of backspace or i think it may come in +18 offset with 5.71in of backspace. I would like the edge of the tires to be sticking out just a little past the wheel well if I get a lift so i think the -12 with 4.53in of backspace would be better...right? How much past the wheel well will the tire be sticking out with the -12 offset with 4.53 bs?

Very true. For a given backspacing, wheel width will determine how far they stick out.

So does anyone know what the smallest amount of lift you would have to have to run the wheels and tires I mentioned above without rubbing.? I would be willing to cut some too to make them not rub. Also would the 2.5" leveling kit like the site said the truck in the picture had make the front sit higher than the back?

I have been looking at jrgaither1's tacoma on stock suspension with bfg ta ko 285/65/18 tires and 18in XD Monsters with 5.7bs and +18os. The wheel I like is available in that size and I really like the way they fit jrgaither1's truck. But the only problem is that he said the bearly rub the uca. I wouldnt want that. So if I bought an after market uca would that fix this problem? Also what amount of lift would you need to make that not rub for sure going over small bumps? Or when i go hunting and go down a bumpy road or cross a real small ditch? (no major offroading at all)

Will after market upper control arms give you more clearance between the uca and the tire?

Well if you do a suspension lift does the upper control arms move up with the suspension?

What I am trying to figure out is, what would you need to do to get the tires not to rub on the upper control arms that are in the pictures I posted above?

Wheel spacers, or buy a wheel with the proper backspacing

Are there any disadvantages with going with a nice set of wheel spacers vs a wheel with a offset that would fit better? I like the +18 offset because they sit in the wheel well but they rub the uca. The only other option is a -12. I dont want them to stick out far past the wheel well though. Does -12 o.s. stick out past fender about 2 inches?
