Finally stopped in and took a look at some '12's at the dealer by work. I actually really like the new front end, but I was disapointed that the paint on the bumper cover and fender flares is still rough looking compared the rest of the paint, and didn't match very good either on the Barcelona Red I saw.
Sales guy made a bee line for me as soon as I pulled in, he was nice enough to point out the outled in the bed. Said I could use it as a generator and run my whole house off it if I ever lost power LOL.

The all weather mats are not comparable to Weathertechs! I thought they might be ok from pictures I saw but they are nothing special at all IMO.

Waiting on WeatherTechs that will work with the 2012 floor mat retention system in the '12 Tacoma. ...winter is coming!

Just saw a new 2012 white double cab, not with the SR5 package, the ones with the plastic bumper and fender flares, but still a prerunner. Looked AMAZING!!!!!!! I was just a bit shocked to see it came with the 05-08 red tail lights. I know they showed the old taillight in the leaked video but I assumed it was an error or a pre-production model that had it, but I guess some 2012's do come with the old tails. Anyone know why?

Here is the new dashboard at night. It's bright as hell, but I like it a lot.

good god, i think they put every color bulb possible in the interior lighting. still kinda depressing that the 4x4 knob isn't illuminated. looks good overall though. what color are the door controls and the buttons to the left (fog, etc.) of the steering wheel?

I'm gonna attempt the illuminated switch mod in a few weeks. The switches on the left are green, like the steering wheel.

I can't believe all the colors they used. I hope they still have a dimmer for the IP lights also! lol

ehhh, i dont think i would like the green. i would assume you could switch out the bulbs real simple in the fog switches and stuff. maybe back to the traditional orange. i would assume it's the same bulb style from the 05-11. maybe toyota has the same bulb type, but different color from another model vehicle.

Funny, I have a 2012, and I saw the dash lights photo and the comments about the green lights on the steering wheel, and I honestly had to go out and look tonight, I didn't even realized they were green! They are much fainter than the dash lights, and it must be the exposure on the photo, because they don't look THAT green in my truck. I thought they were white until now. There is a dimmer for the dash lights.

BTW, you can change the color of the temperature and compass on the mirror, I made mine white like the dash lights.
