    Pyle Audio, has anyone ever heard of them or had experiences with this brand? I'm just looking for some inexpsensive speakers to replace my stock speakers and these Pyle speakers I found look good.

    they've been around for a while. at least 15 years because i can remember them from my highschool days. i had a friend who had some back then and they performed pretty if i remember correctly. if you just need some subs to thump da bass, they should be ok as long as you dont push them too hard.

    I would check out something else for your door speakers. I just bought some orion 5x7 two ways for 29 bucks at onlinecarstereo.com. Check them out they have some pretty good prices. Pyle was big in the late 80's for there subs, it was them and pioneer at the time.

    Yup I remember Pyle back in the days, late 80's. They were the new low budget stuff that everyone was using cause Cerwin Vega was too expensive.

    pyle = pile of shit.

    They make good PA stuff, but their mobile audio stuff is bottom of the barrel. I'd stick with the stock speakers over going with Pyle equipment, if that tells you anything.

    I will agree Pyle in the 80's was ok budget stuff, unfortunately today it is pretty bottom of the barrel. :(

    IMO JL Audio makes the best speakers you can buy thats highs mids and lows but if your looking for something cheep i would agree with an earlier post look at infinity reference series they are pretty good bang for your buck..... but i would drag my balls through shards of glass before i put anything besides JL in my vehichles.......:)

    I wouldnt call it a west coast thing, I just tend to go with upper end gear. You know, the things that win SQ competitions.
