That 35,000 was with my toyota employee discount though which is supposed to be $100 over cost but i think they fucked me over. I will say though its a super nice truck and a hell of a lot nicer than my s10. also i dont think ill be getting many speeding tickets in it. i was always doing 100mph all the way to work in the s10 and now im fine doing 60-70 which also saves me on gas. Now if i could just sell that damn s10 i could trick out my new taco...

Kinda off topic but if you even take a look at used vehicle prices in the states compared to canada. A 1998 S10 done up like mine would sell for about 10-13,000. In washington the same truck would sell for 4-5000, its crazy. Almost worth it to import a few cars and flip em to help pay off the new truck....:D

Here's my recent Canada/US vehicle experience,

After I leased my Tacoma here in Canada,my parents bought an '07 Lexus in Portland ME.The car had 12000 kms on it and they saved thousands and thousands. On this note,I started calling US dealers looking for a new Sienna for my wife. The MSRP is about $8000 cheaper and I wanted a piece of that. What the US Toyota dealers told me was that they would not sell me a brand new vehicle, but would happily sell me one already titled. They claimed that if they sold it to leave the US,Toyota would reduce thier next years allotment by 1 for each unit sold out of country.

I've found that there are awesome deals to be had if you have the cash to go down and purchase outright. If you have to go to the bank and borrow the money at 8%,for me the borrowing costs negate the good deal. What we ended up doing last week was leasing a 2007 Odyssey at 0.9% and a $4000 reduction in MSRP.It's not a US price, but we think we got a pretty good deal.

    Just my $0.02 CAD.;)

if you're planning on not getting tickets in your new taco, DON'T get an exhaust for it!!! mine made my foot heavy and i got busted twice within a week. the reason i said "made" isn't because i don't have an exhaust anymore, i just messed with it again today and trust me when i say that it's loud enough to scare my foot off of the gas pedal a bit haha...see the links for the sound clips in my signature? watch those and double/triple the volume :D

uuummm..... last i checked he was dead.... THANKS TO AMERICA!!! Thats right WORLD you owe us! Especially you Canada, we pulled your Mother land (France) out of the deepfryer after they bravely tried to fight off the german invaders (and by fighting i mean cowering under tables and hiding in closets). Actually i have a transcript of a telephone call to France shortly before the invasion. here it is....

    ring ring... ring ring....

    France: Bonjour?
    Germany: Gutantag?
France: Hello, is there someone there?
Germany: hel.. hello... hello? I think we have a bad connection.
France: I can't here you, i think the connection is bad. Hello?
Germany: Ok thats better i can here you know.
France: Ok yeah, thats much better, i can here you too.... this is France speaking, who is this?
    Germany: Germany
    France: (silence)
    Germany: Are you still there
    France: No
Germany: No? Are you telling me you're not there?
France: um, well...er.... yeah, well, we're here but i think you have the wrong number.... this is England
Germany: I dont think so, you just said "this is France speaking". Plus, you have french accents.
    France: (silence)
Germany: Ok whatever, i dont care. Listen, i just called to let you know we are thinking about possibly invading you.
    France: We surrender

    -click-

That is an actual telephone transcript between Germany and the great nation of France (aka: Canada's mom)

Thanks guys, glad you liked it.

awww, is Canadian Bacon upset cause France is full of wussies? And threatening people with negative rep.... whats wrong with you Bacon, thats a low blow. Maybe you're the negative rep ninja everyone's been talking about!!! I think we should turn this "nrn" issue into a which hunt like the Saalem witch trials. we'll just burn and drown everyone till the problem goes away. I'll be the first to say that TheMaster is a witch!!! HE TURNED ME INTO A NEWT!!!

Dont listen to Canadian Bacon guys, if you think its funny say so, dont let him threaten you with neg rep.

tcBob is planning on giving out hops and barley for rep points due to the growing number of alcoholics (CA members) but you have to brew your own poison. I know you may be confused because it'll look like bird feed and eat it all but that's your weakness.

Yeah, I laughed my ass off when I got the phone call. How did you know? It was your veterinarian. Apparently you are over due for your rabies shot and your flea collar has expired .
