    see Build page for details.
A front LT only would be worthless for desert and dunes if the back can't keep up. You'd have to get a cage for the back too and you're looking at $eriu$ Ca$h. When I still had my 4x4 2nd gen reg cab I priced out the front and rear for LT:

    $900.00 shocks
    $230.00 springs
    $900.00 shocks secondary
$3060.00 Front Long Travel TC kit
$575.00 Front Axles to retain 4wd
    $250.00 Secondary Shock hoop
    $112.00 LowerControlArm skids
$1700.00 Giant Rear susp. Tacoma 2005-2008 64" Long Travel Leaf Spring Kit
    $2050.00 3" Link Killer 2.5 shock
$1850.00 Tacoma Bolt in Bed Cage
    $1499.99 Jounce kit, front/rear

This does not include tax and shipping and install/fabrication. A few things are left out like spindle gussets and alignment tab gussets and bucket shear gussets, which without you'd just be short changing yourself.

With your truck I'd go with ARB front and rear and go hit some sick trails. And post a bunch of wicked pics and vids for us all to see. :D

The only advantage that LT has for with rock crawling would be the travel numbers, but at the same time you also get the wider stance so you get more brush damage and such on the tight trails. You also have to make sure you have longer spare cv axles as well. I would just stick to arb front and rear.

First of all your truck looks awesome. You have done a great job with it.

I'm in the marker for the same tires you have and was curious in your opinion what is the ideal backspacing for a 305 tire? I'm prepared to cut the cab mount but would like to avoid cutting the fenders...

    I saw you have a 3.6" backspacing.

4.5" to 3.5" would be fine. In a perfect world, I would say go 4.0 - but no biggie

i was just gonna post on this. i got over 400 miles on my last tank. ive been doing a lot of highway driving and if i keep it around 2500-2800 rpm (65-70 mph) my mpgs goes up quite a bit. im pretty stoked on the gas mileage especially with the gears and all. the mpg has seemed to be getting a little better with time.

yes roughly. im about 10% off with the gearing and tires. i filled up with 415 miles on the odo and was able to squeeze in over 2 gallons. so if i add the 2 gallons to equal another 40 miles (at 20 mpg) that would bring me to 455 miles per tank. 10% off that would be 410 miles per tank.

it has LSD. i also did the yellow wire mod so i have TRAC in 4-lo, it helps a little (my VSC engages in 4-lo now when normally 4-lo shuts it off). i was going to get ARB lockers front and rear, but i bought a boat instead. Still planning on getting lockers in the future.

so ive been thinking of how i would mod my truck when i buy another one. i am staying practical and functional here. it is not gonna happen anytime soon - maybe in a year or so. i like new stuff. so here's what id do.

    1. 2012 white 2.7 reg cab
    2. relentless front bumper powdercoated black
    3. relentless high clearance rear bumper powdercoated black
    4. leave fenders on and have them painted white if they are not already white.
    5. relentless sliders
    8. warn winch with in-cab controls
    9. arb lockers front and rear with in-cab controls and compressor
    10. snorkle
    11. 4.88s with 265/75/16 MTs (maybe larger)
    12. dark tinted windows
    13. smoked tail lights
    14. ICON stage 4 suspension system
    15. black emblems
    16. rear tire carrier with accessory mounts
    17. black tool box that doesnt sit on the bed sides
    18. beadlock wheels with 4" backspacing or so
    19. probably stick with KM2s or maybe something even a little more aggressive.

there's probably more i would like too, just cant think of it now.

i would like buckets with a 5spd manny but would settle for buckets with an auto if that is all that is available.

things may change but this is what ive been thinking about lately.

just thought id share. let me know what u think. thanks.
