I'm deciding whether or not to do the locker mod with the dpdt switch. My questions are will I hurt the locker if I'm in 2wd gunning the shit out of doing donuts, drifts, attempt to fly on the dunes with it locked in 2wd. If I lock it and can't have fun with it cause it might break then I rather not do it. But if I can then driving on the beach just got funner. Also has anyone tried it recently like on an 11 or 12. I read the other post about radio shacks now have a new diagram. I rather be sure I do it rright then fail horribly

The only reason to lock the rear is if you are stuck with one tire in the air or in mush and the other tire is still on solid ground, or to help you climb a very steep hill. It won't make you go faster on the beach or help you make 'donuts'... H4 TRAC or just an open differential(s) is the best way to drive the beach.

I just did mine, there is a new diagram, but just follow the somewhere near the end of the thread someone posted the new numbers to use, the wire cutting and tapping is still the same though, just new spots on the relay.

I posted this a little while ago. I did the mod that is in one of the links. It works great and is extremely simple. Good luck.

I know it won't make me go faster. But it'll definetly help spin me around and tear up some things better :)
