    Hey guys,
Just moved back to Vegas from Southern New Mexico. Was wondering when the next trail ride was going to be. I am running a toytec 3", spidertrax and 33 X 12.50 Dick Cepeks. ARB, 8000 lbs Warn, SWB 2006 D-Cab Shortbed, TRD Sport. I like to wheel, but need it to stay intact till I can find another daily driver. Then the fun will begin.
I have a dumb question. Does anyone else have a drivetrain vibe around 20-25 MPH, and do the shims from Toytec fix it? I am running the AAL from toytec, and like the lift and added load carrying capability, but this driveline vibe is going to make me psychotic. Should I go ahead and pull the AAL off and go to the OME 4" springs, and do they cause a vibe as well? I added the carrier bearing spacers, but that didn't fix all of it, just reduced the severity of the vibe. Hit me up if you guys are going wheeling, or going out period. I have a 2010 Polaris I am still learning how to ride. Bought it new, and it has about 70 miles on it.

Welcome! None of the trails we do will F* your truck. We all use ours as daily drivers also.

As far as vibration, it doesn't seem like it's coming from your leaf or driveline. I have the same aal without the carrier bearing drop. There is a slight vibe under 10 mph. Yours may be a harmonic sum'n from your tires.

What kind of Polaris? I have a yfz 450.

We might run lake mead on Sunday. Here's a link to some pictures http://rockdamage.com/Lake_mead_new.htm most of the hard spots have bypasses. Im not sure if stock height would be ok, might drag the trailer hitch a lot. But I'm still talking to my buddy if he can roll with us cuz I don't wanna get lost in the trail. Either way if he doesn't go I wanna go wheel this Sunday

It is a hum that starts around 20, ends around 25. I ran the same wheels and tires with out the AAL, no hum. It also does it with the 265 series and factory Sport wheels, (thought it might be the tires as well. They are noisy) If you want, I can meet you somewhere, you can ride in it, and tell me what you think. It's a shortbed, BTW. Had a buddy with a 2010, same lift, but his was a longbed, and he never had a problem. I thought it might be a pinion angle issue. I have already pulled the 33X12.50 Dick Cepeks and the spacers off chasing this noise. The reason I think it is driveline is because of the frequency of the vibe.

I am going to pull it apart this weekend and see if I got the axle plates on crooked when I put the AAL on. Only thing I can think of. I have the shims from toytec, will probably put those on as well, since I will already have it apart.
The Polaris is a Sportsman 300. I never owned a quad before, so I bought something small to learn on. The wife will inherit it when I upgrade. Virtually brand new, might have 2 tanks of gas ran through it. Bought it to hunt on in New Mexico, and as soon as I drove it off the lot, they closed the national forest to hunting due to the fire hazard. Opened it back up AFTER elk season, so my tag was no good. I took the free class they offer, and took it out like twice before I left. Other than that, it really hasn't been ridden.
