    Hey guys,
I'm trying to get a few people together to make a trip to Slade next Sunday, November the 6th. Two trucks are going so far. Would be nice if we could find someone that knows the area also.

It's Slade, KY. Near red river gorge/natural bridge. Google Slade KY few discussions on it. There's also some videos on youtube. If your interested in coming I could give you exact directions. Very easy to get to it's all highway driving.

So whats this all about?? There is like a 99% I would/will go.

My NKY/Cincy clique canceled their plans for the 6th, I was gonna be headed towards Alexanderia anyways. This place dosen't seem to be much further.

I'm a stock 2WD, anything I can try? Be cool if I parked and rode with another driver also? I will admit, I am probably not the best "off-roader", not done much of it, but screw it, I'll try a little something as long I know I won't completely break my truck...gotta get back home.

Steve, If you wanna go that would be awesome!

Furthest I've been south is G-town for Bengals Training Camp, this is what, about 45 more minutes southeast from there?

I myself have never been to slade, but I'm sure there are some things you could play around on in a 2wd. I haven't done a whole lot of wheeling myself but my right seat will be open and you're more than welcome to occupy it.

As of right now I have 2 trucks coming with me and maybe 2 more if I can talk them into coming. As far as 2 wheel drive goes I have not been to Slade either but I dont know there is much to be done in 2 wheel drive. I know there is alot of truck eating mud holes and ruts and I am guessing it is gonna be muddy Sunday. But there is plenty of seats of people want to ride. I am suggesting everyone bring drinks and trail lunch so we dont have to waste time leaving the trail to eat. I myself will be bringing tools, high lift jack and recovery straps. I am feeling with the weather forcast that there will be alot of people down there so it should be a good day of wheeling and watching other people try stupid crap and tear stuff up lol. If anyone needs more info or anything my name is Jeremy and my cell number is 859-583-1503

Oh yeah the plan is to meet at either Mcdonalds or Advanced auto parts in Stanton off of the Mountain parkway at 10 am and we can proceed from there to all the trails. I have done some research and my wife road around looking at trails so hopefully we can get into some good wheeling.

So is anyone goign that has been there before? Most of the info I can find on this place makes me think my truck will get ripped up. Probably a doubtful unless someone who has been there says otherwise

Well I dont know that anyone has been before besides my wife and another guy that has a brand new FJ cruiser that may be going. My opinion on you thinking you will rip your truck up is we arent planning on doing anything that will majorly tear our stuff up. Everyone has to drive back home. We are just going to have fun and explore. We will watch all the other rednecks down there tear their junk up lol. Haddix is taking his stock 03 double cab. I know alot of the trails have by passes around the hard stuff. I am guessing I will be leading the pack so I wont let you do anything stupid to tear your stuff up unless you want to.

Ive been a few miles into it but not to far. There was a stock 4 door frontier following a built solid axle yota pickup when I was there so there has to be bypasses around the hard stuff. I do not plan on tearing my truck up, id turn around before that happened. It should be a good time and it looks like the rain is going to hold off.

I have area maps and directions to 2 different caves that vehicles can be driven into. There are trails everywhere and I know a couple stockers that have been and done alot of stuff and by passed alot of the hard stuff. If anything we can try to meet up with other people down there and find some good wheeling.

Thats totally understandable. Maybe next time. I have been talking to haddix alot and may try to keep planning some wheeling trips since kyttora is pretty much dead now. I think I would rather us all keep in touch and plan trips and if anyone ever needs help with mechanical issues then we can plan time to fix stuff. I would like to be more involved now that I have more time and a pretty much dedicated offroad vehicle.
