    I would recommend siping them. The tire tread might be deep enough to clear snow/slush, but the actual compound of the rubber will not stay pliable enough in cold temperatures to grip the ice. The narrowness will help "dig in" compared to a wider tire, but is still not designed for ice. Most tires are decent in snow, but ice is a different story. That being said, as long as you're a smart driver, most tires will work on the ice/snow.

    I have heard siping will help in the mud, too, but I have no experience with that.

    Alright I need some ideas, people.:D I've recently been debating on wether or not to bedliner (Hurculiner)my hood. I'd love to repaint it but it costs a lot to have it done well, and I'd probably have to paint the roof as well. I think it looks awesome on 45acp's truck.... What do you all think?

    You can see the sun damage very well in this picture:

    Personally, I wouldn't :anonymous: why don't you sand it all down, then paint it with the color matched spray can :notsure:

    have you tried waxing it?

    I had a stealth that had very similar amounts of fading/sun damage. After about 8 coats of wax it was looking next to new

    @m3bassman........

    One more time since it hasn't sunk in yet...;)

    Get your new KM2's siped. I know you think the aggressive tread is going to be great in the snow, and it is if its soft and deep. Once you get on hardpack or ice it's a different story. They are not nearly as scary without siping as some have made them out to be, but are definitely not confidence inspiring in the winter until you get them siped. Even with the sipes there are better hardpack/ice winter tires out there but the KM2 will at least be decent in those conditions.

    Nice, but this damage goes down to the bare metal in some areas where it's eaten away so much.... It's got about 3 coats of fresh turtle wax in the picture actually. It would look a lot more white if it weren't for the green wax. haha :eek:

    You can feel the deformations when you run your hand across the damaged areas....... its really bad :(

    You should also add that most tire shops (at least the ones around here) will only sipe NEW tires so the decision should be made now.
