i have had more retro's in one year on my truck than any other tacoma i have ever heard of 8 to be exact all different projectors and set-ups to finally zero in on the one that kills them all.

yes it may seem retarded to some but, my low beams negate the need for any other light source to be used on my truck :) and when i hit on my high beams and the shield drops and my vision-x leds come on as well i can make daylight happen over a mile down the road.

no you would not because if they where properly aimed they would be above the color flicker and not viewing the projector from below the shield.

those links i posted up explain everything no shit read up some you would be amazed at the difference. my low beams are lighting like 7 to 8 lanes across as well i never get flashed and i'm running modded fx-r's with 55 watt ballast and high dollar bulbs.

edit: so if my alignment was off i would most certainly be getting flashed. when you kneel down in front of my truck and go below the color flicker my lights are so bright they almost immediately cause you to have a headache.

Happened to me the other night. Stock lights; pointed aimed correctly after lift. The guys were drunk though so maybe they were just mad I had a nicer truck.

imagine your projectors are eye balls and like eye balls you can cross them meaning your bringing your eyes to the center each left hand drive projector sold in the usa has a step on the cut off. so when seated properly they don't hit the side view mirror and oncoming traffic.

maybe your lights are not aimed as correctly as you think. not saying they are not some people do flash others because the are mistaken their low beams for high beams especially in lifted trucks this seems to be more common place.

Most of those being blinded by bright lights are most likely older people. When you get older your night vision starts to fail and if is a wet dark road with brights behind and in front it is very hard to see.It may be fun blinding someone but remember we will all be old some day and then will will not be so funny.I try to pass a slow moving car as soon as possible as I know my truck sets much higher than their car. However those left laners need to have a little respect also and move over to avoid getting blinded. If they don't move over they are partly to blame.

Just have the damn things aligned. You can do it yourself or pay the dealership 20 or 30 bucks.

Edit: My dealership aligned mine on Thursday in all of 15 minutes. I was blinding people with only .85 in the front.

Never. I see them adjust their mirror every once in a while and my headlights are adjusted, but I do have HIDs.

look at the cutoff on my headlights that photo was taken from over a hundred feet away! there is absolutely no light escaping over the cutoff the thick ribbon of blues and purples are the color flicker thats not what blinds people. it's when you go below that color flicker you catch the full beam in your eyes.

either way a retrofit would solve you from hating on people who believe your lights to be either out of adjustment or producing to much glare.

    problem solved.

Not so true this morning and two weeks ago it was young people. My lights are adjusted, but when you have a truck that sits high and you come up on a small car at a stop sign or light they get pissed. The incident two weeks ago both the driver and passenger turned around and flipped me off and just sat at the stop sign as I was openings door to see if there was a problem they sped off into the night. I can be a little road ragey... I blame PTSD

Normally I let the folks in jacked up trucks who want to go really fast by me, and I almost aways catch up with them...usually when they are looking for help after wrecking.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
TacomaWorld...where announcing you're a douchebag is a source of pride.
    Congrats.
OP-any chance you had your fogs on at the same time?
If you did, that may be why you got flashed.
I never pass up the opp to try to blind someone running their fogs in traffic....I doubt they're smart enough to figure it out.

I run my fogs all the time... if they should be aimed low and should not be in people's eyes. If they are they'll be useless in fog. That being said, why would you try to blind someone for running their fogs in traffic? Perfectly legal and shouldn't be affecting you one bit.

Your fog lights are designed to fill the low area between the bottom cutoff of your headlight beam and the front of the truck. There should be no reason for them to blind anyone regardless of how high your truck sits. I leave my foglights on all the time.
