 . . . in a thread where you've been whining about drama, that was worth typing on your computer and hitting send to gratify some aspect of your day?

oh, and it actually only stands for itself now. it used to stand for "Future Farmers of America" but several years ago since it broadened it's horizons to all things agriculture, "The FFA Organization" only stands for "The FFA Organization", it is no longer an acronym

I dropped out of high school when I was 16. Hated everything about it. But looking back as an 18 year old, soon to be 19, I regret leaving it.

Do what you have to do, dropping out and having to start life as a dropout is alot more difficult than leaving high school.

Do what you got to do and think about the future.

One of my friends, who is also the FFA President of our chapter, had to give a speech on what it meant to be the president of the FFA. He proceeded to talk about how "FFA" meant Future F**gots of America and how everyone who was a member would one day turn gay and eventually turn to bestiality. Possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard. Right in front of out AG/Aqua Culture teacher of all people.

I know what it is. They still do the SAE? My teacher, he got money, he owns 5% of all BK's, and invest in stocks and is a big time farmer. He talks to us and he acts like argiculture is the only way out. He needs to do a reality check. "with out argiculture there will be no culture" - my teacher

Lol BS. GPA is standard. Each school does not get to decide what each letter grade equates to. I doubt you even got A's and B's with your grammar. Schools give a shit about grammar, thats who

none of what you wrote really makes much sense to me, but okedoke. :notsure:

yep i guess. i built my mammy a chicken coupe for mine.

and so it's known i think the modern FFA is kind of corny. i could never remember the 5 paragraph long mission statement and thought a lot of the general guidelines for the advancement in the organization in the club past high school is pretty pointless.

however, i had a blast with the FFA. i was on the forestry team, parliamentary procedure (4th in the State 2 years in a row when i was there!), we went to Indianapolis one year for nat convention, got to learn how to weld, we built a barn one year, we had cookouts every month, i was in charge of all greenhouse production and sales of over 1,000 poinsettias for 3 years, i won a bunch of scholarships from it, it looked great on my college application, and FFA camp was one of the most fun weeks of my life.
i came from a very rural school that most kids didn't go to college, but through the FFA were able to get jobs with plumbing, electrical, contruction, landscaping companies and many more right out of high school.

For my teacher to send us to Indianapolis. We cant laugh at jokes. Or smile. Fart on bus or not meaning to. He basically wants us to be straight all the time and have no fun. Thats how serious he is about the FFA

and how exactly is he wrong? are you wearing clothes? have you ever eaten food? do you like medicine when you are sick? is your house made of just steel? do you have grass growing in your yard to keep it from sliding away when it rains? did you know that agriculture technologies is one of the leading and fastest growing markets in the computer industry? . . .your teacher is dead on the money.
