Just finished doing the deckplate mod, changed my sparkplugs, and painted the front emblem flat black. Had trouble cutting a perfect circle on the airbox, considering it was my first time using a dremel tool and didn't have the proper attachment. Hopefully, the outter part of the deckplate keeps anykind of water out. Sound is pretty sweet with the plate out by the way.

i used the sensor safe Permetex silicon i saw on one of the links someone posted, but looking at it from the other end of the airbox, some of the silicon didn't even match up to it.
oh yeah, i replaced the stock air filter with an AFE pro dry S too.

I couldn't wait for the snow to go, so I made the mudflap relocation brackets and bolted up the new rubba.

Here's how things looked from stock to not so stock...

Now that we're in the garage... let's check the stock fitment

    Pretty basic...

    Covers the tread nicely...

    Toss on the big one...

Whoa, that's not gonna cut it...

    After the 10 mm removal...

    Installed SS extension plate...

    Test fitment of flap...

    Centering over the 32 x 11.5 rubba...

Level 'er up after repeat on the other side...

45 minutes later, its a done deal. So, I'll paint the exposed portion of the bracket once the temperature stays above 40 degrees. Did I mention that I was tired of snow? ;)

It got a wee bit too dark to snatch a pic of the truck wearing its new shoes... I'll post one up for your review tomorrow.
