Thanks man.. I'll check them out and if u say they are da'bomb, then I'll give them a shot.. What about the front?? It will lift the rear a little over 2" right? So I'll need new shocks also.
And will my 275/65/17's still fit?

Sorry bro there just wasn't enough people that wanted to come down. And it kind of works out better as I have a bunch of stuff to do this weekend to get ready for my trip to Chicago next weekend.

Yeah I did a lot of research before I finally pulled the trigger. Everyone on here that has them and tow/hauls frequently has been really happy with them including myself. If you want to ask some people just send me a pm and I'll send you there screen names. I have the 5100's in the front set at 1.75 and the Dakars/5100s in the rear. You wont need new brake lines but will need the drive shaft drop spacer. It has a little forward rake but when I tow it sits level. I can have my boat on the back, 4 people in the truck, coolers, gear, tools, luggage, and it still doesn't bottom out which was exactly what I needing. I have 265/70/17 on and they don't rub at all so I'm not sure about the 275 tho.

Ok, sounds good.. I was searching online for stuff.. I seen the suspension kit for my taco that has bilstein adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks
Adj from 1.5-3"... Optional Dakars are available. Do u think the toytec's went flat because you do tow your boat? I don't tow anything, and the gear I do put in the back for race weekends are not really that heavy.. Just curious as to why the toytec's flattened out so fast when others have had no issue.
I "think" my truck already has a 1.75-2" spacer lift on it now with a 1" block in the back. So, I'd need something that will give me at least 2" or more and take that shitty block off the back!

Lucky dog!! Can't wait to see it on! Where did u buy the kit from? I'm looking at 2-3" kits myself.. LB Double cabs look goofy without some sort of lift! Lol

Yeah I think that towing had something to do with it, but i'm not sure. From the people that I talked to, they said that it was probably b/c my original leaf pack was already shot and the AAL was taking the load of the whole leaf pack. Hence the boat/towing/hauling definetly contributed. But then I've also talked to people who just got the AAL and after a year or so were back to bottoming out again and they didn't tow. I just felt like that AAL was a temp. fix as the leaf pack is perm. fix.

Damn man.. That's a good deal.. Do u have to get the tease drop or just shims? What about the swaybar and brake lines?? Just asking because I'm just learing about these 2nd Gens.

I currently run a Rough Country 2.5 spacer lift and don't have any issues at all. I assume the brake lines and diff will be at the same angle with the Fox set up although I will crank it as high as I can and maybe get 3" out of it. I talked with a bunch of guys and they said the diff drop was not necessary for 3". I was kinda leery about the sway bar myself so again I asked around and most said to just yank it. However I will be doing a lot of highway driving so I think I will run without it for a while and see how I like it. If I don't like it then I will look into the sway drop.

So you drive the black double cab now? I have been looking for your 1st gen!

Yeah.. I sold my silver 01 DC with the 6" lift and 35's in the spring... I now drive the black 05 DC LB around and I love it. But, I do miss my lifted monster at times! I just don't miss fueling it up all the time!
