My first tacoma (96) was what got me hooked in the hobby. That tacoma went through a lot and I didn't even mod it up that much. Little 2" lift w/ 32" tires - no locker, no gears. Just bumpers, skid plating, rock sliders & I learned a bunch. Then - I realized I was enjoying it too much and getting into more serious stuff and didn't wanna trash up my tacoma (daily driver).
    I loved that truck.

Every once in a while I still see it - poor thing - the new owners don't care.

They are great trucks and last forever!! Has anyone had to pull out a jeep, ford, or chevy cause your tacoma could do more?

my tacoma has never gotten stuck...Just temp. disabled.

Kinda embarrassing, but it was in a parking lot with snow and ice. I had to rock it, and 4low it to get her out, but she went.

Now offroad, my truck dosent go there. We take my dads 02..LOL

my 2000 Tacoma was beaten and in the air more than many vehicles had even seen dirt. It never failed on me. the only time it was stuck, was when I sunk it in a small lake. Even then, it was recovered, cleaned up, and still ran like new.

cool i grew up over there near rockbridge road

x2...thats not really how we "roll" over here...we may talk about how our trucks are WAY more reliable than other brands...but for off road purposes...its considered bad karma to badmouth another brand because you had to pull them out

More than likely...one day...youre gonna need a strap...and it could very well be a Chevy...or Jeep...or God forbid a Hummer
