What kind of anti virus software are you all running????
I was running Norton, but it seemed to really make thing run slower on my computer. Im running AVG now, and Im pretty happy with it.

I'm running Avira AntiVir. It's free and seems to work better than anything I have used before.

I started running AVG a few years back and love it, much better than the other stuff out there that seems to "take over" your computer resources.

x2 on that... but I think the days of Mac not needing A/V may be coming to an end. Just a hunch -- as they grow and proliferate they will become a more suitable target to exploit.

The Mac has a really nice software based firewall that you can take advantage too.

I heart using the Mac for it's inherent protection...and for my Windows laptop I run AVG with a few other utilities...I also have Norton as a back up.

(Can you tell I'm a bit paranoid??)

I've seen what skilled hackers can do-Like sitting at a server console watching it get destroyed....Viruses and other low class malware is easy to avoid.

I ran Trend Micro last year - consumer reports rated it top in protection - all it did was lock my computer up on a daily basis.

So this year I switched back to Norton Internet Security and it seems to be doing ok.

If there's a better one out there, let me know and when it's time to renew, I'll switch.
