leafs are not straight in leaf pack

Is this bad or ok? The leafs do not line up strait in the pack The bands are still secure. and the truck was on level ground when these pictures were taken.

It seems like they should be straight but if its normal thats good. I may still tell the wife i need new ones and ditch the blocks for some better ones. Thanks guys

 

Yeah definitely use whatever excuse you can to ditch blocks and get a real rear lift setup

 

They are usually lined up, but it won't hurt anything the way they are.

 

got a weird rear vibe thaught it may be connected cause ive looked into everything i can think of thats not real invasive

 

During just braking and acceleration or all the time when moving?

If at stop and gos then its axles wrap and the block lift makes it worse.

If all the time when moving then its your carrier bearing (if you have a 2 piece Drive Shaft), not much you can do unless the bearing is bad.

 

its all the time when moving i moved the drive shaft around in the mount how much play should it have. and i did notice when i put my truck in gear now i have a ping noise esspecially when on hills.

 

Try flexing or getting the weight of one tire and take a BIG Hammer and hit them to straight them out if you really care. Easy fix and takes about 5 minutes or so.

 

Sounds like a center support in the middle of your driveline. Possible u joint but i would lean more towards center support

 

man i wish i had a pic of my stock leafs they started out like that but buy the time i had enough $ to fix them i had one leaf left stock leafs are shit

 

Got some 3" lift ones I'm selling. They were on it when I bought my '99 and still have that lift bc I don't really carry anymore weight than just a toolbox in the back. I'm selling cheap for a fast sale, so feel free to PM.

I don't know what brand they are, but can tell you they ride pretty good. I took them off my truck and cleaned them up and spray painted them black to stop what ever rusting they had and to give them a cleaner appearance. They have six leafs and the overload if that helps.

center support bearing? like a carrier? i have a 2 piece also and no for sure i dont have a support bearing? did that come stock on all 2 piece rear shafts?? could be where im getting my vibe

 

I agree, go with full set of springs, or if you want to go cheaper you could always do an AAL. Blocks are Bad.. They are the primary cause of excessive axle wrap.

 

If you have a two piece shaft you do indeed have a center support/carrier bearing.
