No it's not what it looks like. Pawn Stars is the good one, look at hard core Pawn. The good thing everyone wanted to have one after theese shows came out, in the reel world all the rip off gold buying bull shit rip off stores took a lot away from old school coin shops & pawn shops that paid a good price for it. Most of them pay 20-50% Pawn & coin shops paid 65-80 %. Remember that depends on the local laws, how long they have to hold items ect. Cash for gold stores mail in crap is a major rip off bend over if you sell to them. As far as taking cars ect. local laws it how long you have to hold some times a year.

work so much I barely have time to go out. But on the plus side I have a bit to save up for mods for my truck. Having a credit card helped get things started.......

I also buy/sell a lot of things. Buy low sell high, use profit to buy parts.

 

The money I'm earning right now is going right back into me by funding my college degree. Saving money and pinching pennies so I'll hopefully get a great job after I graduate then I can start putting money into my truck once everything else is paid off.

but damn either you don't make much a year or your really well at managing money to have a years salary in your savings account.

 

A years salary in the bank is nothing. Our house is paid for as are our three vehicles & have enough in the bank to buy another house & three new vehicles. And still have money left over.

 

At least you don't have like a 2012. I know a guy who was in his mid-20s and lived with his parents. Needless to say I was amazed when he came rolling up tp work in a brand new Tacoma. Everyone's situation is different, but if I had a kid that old at home he would be saving for his own place, not making a $500 car payment.

 

I worked & started savings in my teens, went to college, joined the military, retired, still work, still save. Yeah that's it.
I wish I could win the lottery but feel everyday like I have. Life's too short.
