Alright so I'm really starting to like this straight pipe sound that I've seen some people have and I have a few questions. Whats the best way to do this? Is it really worth it on a 4 banger? Can I just cut my cat out of the picture, grab some 2" piping from say crappy tire and just bolt it in where the cat use to be? I've never taken or cut an exhaust so I don't know the first thing about doing it.

If you guys have some better suggestions or ways that I can maybe even keep my stock cat on and just make something work with that, then that would be pretty good as well.

    Thanks a lot.

I take it that canada doesn't require smog tests?

Ahh those are the e-tests, yeah we need them but only after your vehicle is 10 years old and you need it done every 2 years. I have an 07, I think I'm good to go for a couple more years haha

Just did my 06 a couple of months ago. I think it is required after 5 years in California.

well I did the straight pipe, wayyy tooo loud so me and buddy stuck it back on, and had some piping to clamp it back together, have a bit of an exhaust leak right before the cat but she sounds pretty good now, have the cat and the original pipe being held together by another pipe connecting the two with some clamps around it.
