these forums make me want to ask, where do people get all their money for this?

I've got a kid- but the wife and I do alright!!

 

I sold my wrx and since it was paid off, I paid cash for my truck. Bought it used. mods, I have paid for a couple of ways. inheritance I am getting is paying for a few things. Most everything else though has been the money I get each month for my play money.

 

Working 80 to 100hrs a week 7 days a week. Because we dont have a days off schedule. And it also helps that I basically live out of hotels most of the time (paid for by my company) So I can't justify buying a house or renting an apt. So I just left all my stuff at the rents place until I decide to settle down and start a family.

 

I bought a 7 year old truck with 146,000 miles on it.

 

i make about 80k a year and the wife 65K. I have always worked hard and smart to save my money. I put myself through college by mowing lawns in the summer. when i came out of school i had no loans to pay back and still had about $10k in the bank. I got a $10k sign on bonus when i started working. Then worked on buying the houses and saving as much as i could. I turn 30 in a year and i have reached most of my goals i had set for b4 i turned 30

 

That is a good question. I am making > $100k/yr and I can not afford a new one. Oh yeah, now I remember - the wife wanted a bigger house, she wanted a new minivan, 2 kids in private school....
All worth it though. I love my "old" truck and the family is priority at this stage of my life.

well first off i have a job. and 2nd.. im in debt

 

Worked 40+ years house is paid off, car is paid for, truck is ours soon. Do all my drinking and eating at home and never had a credit card (the worst trap for middle class) I'm happy just to be in good shape and have a good other half and some nice bird dogs. All the other shit is so small to me now I feel blessed for what I do have...... Jim

Yeah...I got like $25k in student loans left, I make around $65k a year also..but I also have alot of bills and I just blow alot of money lol.
but then again I'm 21..so I don't really give a shit hahaha. Even though I know people like you who are 21 and doing what your doing..this one guy I know bought his house from his parents..when they foreclosed it lol

I am glad to not see a lot of jealous comments about the ones who have done well in life.For most of us it took a lot of hard work for many years to accomplish success.Seems I had to crawl my whole life until I got in my mid fourties and then things started to come together.Remember,the sooner you make that first house payment the sooner your last will come and then you will be able to buy most anything you want,within reason.Good bunch of guys here.

 

I got an education, established a career and try not to blow $$$ on stupid stuff i want but don't need...is a RCD lift a need or a want?
