    Impact sensor and voltage pulse is built in. Priority door unlock and ignition disable input built in too. You can add a power window rely to roll up and down the windows or a sunroof. It's one of the best alarms alpine made. All the 8024-8028 were bad azz alarms. Thx for looking

    I hate to be a pain... but I am interested... Is this something that can be installed w\o a shop? I did most of the work on my truck already... pretty good with hands and electronics. Can the remote be rigged to work with the current keyless or Vise Versa?

    Install is simple color coded wires and good install directions, anyone good with they're hands could do it. And I'm not sure if you can remod the remotes. But the remotes are sweet. 4 buttons

    First off, let me say this is a good price on a good alarm system, and very much wish you luck with the sale....

    <prepared for :crapstorm:>

    Having installed for several years, and having installed this and other versions of alpine alarms, I would hardly say alpine's install directions are good and "simple" color coded wires. Unless you've done this kind of stuff before, and done it a few times, IMO installing an alarm system can be a real pain in the arse. Toyotas in general (and hondas too) were typically the more "relaxed" vehicles to be putting an alarm into, but still for first timer's they challenging enough in their own rights.

    I've got a good buddy that's had nothing but toyotas and hondas for as long as I've known him, and watched & helped me put them in for him time after time, and I've asked him on a few occasions why he doesn't do it himself - he's very mechanically inclined, knows how to use & read a multimeter & test light probe, and still refuses to do it himself - to which he replied "No way, even if I didn't have you to do it, I'd still take it to a shop to have it put in."

    Me personally, I'm partial to DEI branded alarms (Clifford, Viper, Python). Like I said, I've installed the Alpine alarms enough times to know that I don't like installing them, but they are good.

    Naw, seriously, Alpine alarms are good, just not my slice of pie.... gotta remember that's coming from a former installer's standpoint who worked for companies that just didn't sell much in terms of Alpine alarms.... So I never got into installing them like I did others. I did work with people eventually that thought the world of the alpine alarms and wouldn't touch anything else...

    Def GLWS and a bump for a good alarm :)

    I worked at HI-FI buys years ago, and thats about all we sold besides Viper, DEI does make a great system, I've had both and enjoyed both.
