He's probably gonna be like the commercial, Allstate I think it is, where the guy was the ref and driving away from the game saying miss one down and the entire stadium turns on you.

As a OU fan I'm sure you're fully aware of SEC defenses...

wasn't that the 50 per game year for OU?

How is this lame? It was a matchup of the #1 and #3 defenses in the country. It was exactly as it was billed to be. A huge defensive game with turnovers being what counted the most. Please explain.

Im aware that 38 pts combined is hell of alot more entertaining than some 9-6 punt & field goal quest.

I think the game went exactly how most people figured it would. I expected at least one Td, but I'm ok with what happened. I'd actually like to see a rematch in the NC game. They won't let that happen, I know, but I think it'd be another great game.

Edit: (Completely forgot what I meant to post in the first place...)
Saban made some questionable calls, in my opinion. Your kicker has had a TERRIBLE time making a field goal, but you keep sending him out there when your defense has been holding the LSU offense in check. Doesn't have the leg for a 49 yarder, so you send him out for a 52 yarder? Punt it and let your defense hold em.

4th and 2 with 5 minutes left and you have the ball on the 50, and you punt it. Again...the way your defense is playing, go for it. If you don't get it, I doubt LSU is gonna go 50 yards on a drive and score on ya.

52 seconds to go and you just give up and play for overtime? Why not take a shot or 2 downfield and use your timeouts? I understand you're at home and the odds of winning in overtime are a lot better, but you don't have anything to lose. Take a shot or 2 to the sideline, get out of bounds, then take a shot downfield.

*waits on Matt to enter the thread...*

Kinda goes back to my response to your 'delusional" fan base statement. If you want a true look into it, stream some Paul Finebaughm Monday afternoon, starting at -2:00 Central. I'll await your take.

OR, throw a bomb in the end zone and hope for a turnout like the Mich St and Wisconsin game. That's what Mich St. was thinking, "hmmm, looks like we're going to OT, lets just bomb it and see what happens 1st."

Exactly. They were too far away for their QB to make it to the endzone in one heave, that's why I was saying take a couple shots downfield or take a couple shots to the sidelines. Do that once or twice then toss it to the endzone. The chances of an INT/100 yard return are slim.
