Im a new Tacoma owner and just put a 3" lift in. I wanted to put 33" tires in with my stocks wheels but was told they rubbed and wouldnt fit. They told me I needed to get new wheels to offset the tires. I really am new to all of this. I would like 33" BFG tires and a mostly black wheel. any suggestions?

4.5" backspacing is best for reducing rubbing on these trucks.

What lift did you get? You may still rub with a 33" tire even with the best backspacing.

I thought i had asked a fairly specific question hard2kill...I was looking for suggestions. especk thank you for taking a genuine interest, what does backspacing mean and how do I go about finding wheels to get it?? I put in a rough country lift. Sorry for my ignorance, I'm just learning about my truck.

ya that website is good. u can also google "wheel backspacing" and u may get a picture/diagram that may help more.

i like to go to 4wheelparts.com to look at wheels. they have a good selection and u can narrow it down by size. u need at least a 16" diameter aluminum wheel. 8-9" wide is most popular. the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5. The description of each wheel will include the backspacing. i never look at the offset info because that is just another way to look at backspacing depending on the width of the wheel.

especk...you rock!! I actually jus finished ordering my wheels, got some help from another taco owner. I ordered XD 797 Spy gloss black machined wheels. They are super sexy!! I ordered 17x9 6x5.5 with a 4.53 backspace. Once I get them and put them on my truck I'll take a picture.

It's funny because people were saying not to get them because they look too busy. I ALMOST went with the Revolvers, the all black ones. But with the black fenders and black tires I needed some kind of break in color. The night before last I caught some guy trying to steal them while it was parked in my driveway. I've only had them for a week or so.
