Nada...need some guidance there it's going to see a lot of highway mileage not just trail miles.
So I increased the pressure in my tires to 44psi for mileage and handling reasons (lots of highway miles and when I got the truck I had three tires at 40 and one at 35 so I figured I may as well). I reset the monitor (little button under the steering wheel) and it started flashing and then came back on:confused:

Check your spare for the same pressure you are running in the others

Seriously? I didn't think my spare had a sensor in it...I'll do that when I get back from snow duty on Tuesday.

i believe you can hold the reset button for 15 seconds while you are driving. from my readings, if you ever want it to work again it would cost around $70 at the dealership to fix it.

Wouldn't it wear the inside tire tread a lot faster?

I hooked up one of those air hose extensions on the spare so I could check it and refill it without crawling under the truck. Problem is, when attached the hose causes the panel light to indicate a tire pressure problem. But I really don't want to disable the TPM.

do the tpms also report too high of a pressure? the mechanic that put my winter tires on warned me that the light might be on since he jacked up the pressure after install

I've had my hose extension hooked up now for about 4 weeks and it hasn't triggered my light to come on at all. Did you put the cap on yours? I did and zip tied mine to the hitch.

It road a little rough at 35psi so I don't really notice a difference. We'll see how it rides when I get my new Silent Armors.

Ok so pressurize my spare to the same pressure as my other tires, reset again and I should be good?

I put 32 lbs in all my tires including the spare, attached an air hose extension to the spare and reset the TPM (tire warning light flashed a few times and then went off). Everything working fine, life is good.

    Good to know ty.

Well I intend to keep them around 44 since like I said I do a lot of highway driving and I want to get the most mileage I possibly can but I'll look into that extension hose idea ty.
