    285 70 17's are ideal.

I just want the largest tire I can put on there with minimal problems. I think I'm just going to go with 295/70R17 unless you guys know of one bigger that will fit!

^I would go with a wider tire... than a taller tire

I think the 285s and 295s just look small on the RCD...

When I get new tires I'm going to get a 33x12.5x17 tire instead of these metric ones

take a look at my 305/65/17 BFG A/Ts

I'm confused! I am reading right that you can not have a 16" wheel with this lift??? That doesn't make sense to me... Can someone tell me either I'm an idiot, and that is not true, or tell me why??? I think I read somewhere you need at least a 17" wheel...

I really like this lift, but if I need to save up for some new wheels and tires first it's going to be awhile before I can get it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes you have to have a 17" wheel due to the size of the spindle...

I guess you could run a 16" wheel with some modification and a spacer

sorry buddy but I think your wrong. I tried 16's and no go. you will either have to grind the wheel down or grind the tie rod end. both I do NOT recommend AT ALL. only way to run then is with like a 2 inch spacer. Which is impractical to me... In short stay with 17's to avoid problems/headaches

So I spoke with Matt with RCD and he said the 305/65R18's with clear just fine. Not discounting any of you guys who have been such a huge help but I figured I would go to the horses mouth and see what they say. Am I crazy for considering it?

    ok... stop freaking out

why are you even considering such an odd tire size, I'd stick to the basics... get a 33x12.5x18 tire and call it a day

besides I really wouldn't take those RCD guys word as gospel...justsayin.

I have about an inch at full lock between the tire and the cab mount...

I really dont know lol. I just saw it and I can't seem to get it out of my head. If I do it I might have to do a little trimming and the cab mount chop but thats probably it.

Anybody with an RCD and a bit of vibe at takeoff and the occasional driveline thunk at stop and take off needs to get one of beefed tacos carrier bearing drops. Worth every penny. My truck is nearly perfect now with respect to vibes (it wasn't that bad before but noticeable at takeoff) and the driveline thunk and play is gone.
