    I have the trd cai and I like it. The sound is nice but I can't really speak of any hp gains if there were any because all I have to base off is butt dyno. I have heard that the volant causes the engine to run rich but not 100% on that.

    haha I like that. But to the OP i forgot to add that there are plenty of people who run the volant setup and have no problems whatsoever, it all comes down to what you like the most.

    what i like about the trd cai is the quality. you know it's not going give you any problems with CEL's or anything. just less to worry about.

    However I'm interested in the VOLANT CAI w/that extra adaptor for the front. Ummm more cold air? I don't know.

    However, I have mine Tuned by URD. The Doug Thorley Long tubes also help too.:D

    if you are not going to get the ram air option with the Volant, there is not much difference between the two.

    i have the Volant with the ram air scoop (and MAF calibrator). really like it.

    but can't give you an opinion of which i prefer, because i only have one

    i got the same set up and i love the hell out of mine. a lot more top end and throttle response

    Having owned a volant and now the TRD I highly prefer the TRD. Volant is designed horribly box has no padding between the fender side and bottom, and plus the box doesn't even meet up with the stock air hole in the fender. I hated mine and got rid of it right away. It always rattled and made noise in the higher rpms which was very annoying. I don't recommend it at all. TRD all the way! Oh, and that ram thing is a joke.

    It would be nice to see TRD advetise Dyno results on a stock vs. TRD CAI.
