I just watched it on YouTube... It was an interception. It was really really close but he didn't have control when we went to the ground. He didn't even have dual possession. The call and the review were both good.

What's more annoying about that play is that we had a wide-open receiver on the near side of the field. Might not have scored, but DeAndrew White (#2 - the player in motion) was open on the left side. If Maze leads him a little bit, he takes the ball way down field.

 

Finebaughm in five minutes... Should be epic.

 

Well hell! What pisses me off about McCarron is that he has no vision. It's like he picks his receiver before the ball is even snapped and he throws it to them with 0 regard to how much coverage is on them. Alabama needs to do a better job at finding quarterbacks instead of picking these pretty boys.

 

Leading w/ the PSU story. I'm sure I'll want to turn off the radio when he finally gets past Penn St and into the game this weekend.

Oh yeah...but I still stick to it that Bama needs to start recruiting some better quarter backs. I was really hoping...and still am, that they would go on to win another NC. I can still hope for Richardson and the Heisman....all this from an Auburn fan! It would be so cool to keep those two in the state another year!

 

Thanks. I knew special teams would play a big part in the game, just was expecting it to be that major of a component. Yall could have won it a few times. I said in the 4th if we could just make it to OT, we would win. Just knew in my gut we would get it done there.

I'm also indecisive on the punt/kick calls by Saban, but the missed kicks really messed with the team's mentality. Crazy as it sounds, sometimes a great punt is what it takes to get us even more pumped up and into the game. I think yall would have benefited from one of those, as we did on the amazing punt that Maze did not field. Still not sure why Nick had him back there for it… But the combo of the amazing interception (great athletic play) and that punt is what got us back into the game mentally.

Damn hard fought game on both sides, and I'd be stoked to meet up with yall in the Mercedes Benz Superdome in a couple months. NO other team in the country could have hung on the field with our teams Saturday night, and that isn't going to change. If college football wants a matchup of the best two teams, Bama vs LSU is it.

 

I'm sick of all the rematch bullshit talk. So what happens if they get a rematch and roll tard wins in New Orleans? Then they have to rematch again for a 3rd time to decide the best 2 out of 3. I mean come on. One team won and one team lost. If you don't win your conference you have no right playing for a title.

And don't come back with the shit about Nebraska, Oklahomo and Ohio State. I know they all played in title games after not wining their respective conferences but I was against that shit too.

I think you could use the lesser "bowls" as playoff games. You can call them what you want.

 

Take conference affiliation away from bowls. Seed teams to bowls according to rank. Or keep the bowl system in place and have an 8 team playoff in what are now the BCS bowls.

Bama had their shot and blew it. Whether it was bad coaching, lack of finishing by players or whatever, they lost. The team that played a COMPLETE game won and they remain undefeated.

 

Anyone else feel like the conference realignments are doing more harm than good to NCAA football? Pitt in the ACC, WVU in the big12. UT and OK are all that's left in the big 12. COlorado and Utah in the Pac 12? A&M in the SEC? I'd like to see the Conferences more geographicaly aligned, I think it makes a better atmosphere when a lot of away fans can go to a game more easily.

Personally I would like to see the conference winners from each conference make a playoff. I feel the BCS makes the rest of the bowl gams pretty pointless.

 

Someone needs to go back to geography class. Because before you know it, Miami is gonna be in the Pac-32

 

and don't forget Boise State in the big east. so dumb.

 

I would like to see Clemson in the SEC.
