10 bucks says they are not trying to find your plate

things like that dont really get looked for in the sense that we want to find it and return it to you (because really it's state property)

You go on about your day and get new plates and then sometime in the future, an officer will run a tag for some reason or another and it'll pop back as stolen

The car will be stopped, tags removed and returned to the DMV

I figured, but better to be safe then sorry. My friend borrowed my truck for PT drill this last weekend (he is army guard i think), and got pulled over 3 times because they ran the plate and saw it was stolen. he had to explain how it was my truck and he was borrowing it. XD I fell off my bed laughing when I heard about it.

Had mine stolen and it was used on a getaway car that was involved in a bank robbery. Wasn't too fun when the cops surrounded the place I was renting from my aunt. :( How embarrassing.

I didn't get charged for a new set of plates, though. I still had the other one and I turned that in when I requested replacements.

When I used to live near campus, I would find license plates on my front street all the time.

College kids can't park without mashing bumpers.

No, cat as in catalytic converter. But since you brought it up feline cat theft is also bad out here because there are so many Asian restaurants.

It's sitting in a box right now, along with many other plates. It will find it's way to my future garage wall one day. :)

    I know, I'm sorry. :(

How did it work out for your friend? Usually the cat is cut off with a jigsaw on one end because the thief doesn't need the exhaust pipe section.
