My experience in Raleigh was that it's kinda trashy and just kind of...eh...

very similar to a game at USC

i mean there's parts of raleigh that suck, but overall i love it. great places for concerts with some great local bands, good night life if you know where to go and not really city cityish in most places. i dove hunt at a friend of mines house just 5 miles from State campus.

edit: and how dare you compare it to USC! that place is terrible!

i base my opinions on cities solely on what i see

i saw the football stadium and surrounding area...bc of this i have little to no interest in visiting there, or tallatrashy again...

like a country/rock/dbt/springsteenish. . . i love them. seen them like 10 times and got all their stuff. if you've ever heard of jason isbell, he's producing their next record. just a kick ass band.

wow that's cool. i like DBT with isbell better than without. not really a big fan of the 400 unit. decoration day is an album i play back to front every week at least. i saw DBT about 6 months ago at a street stage show in raleigh. fun time. hendooman is the one that i got into American Aquarium though.

Southern Rock Opera is a double album...it's almost like a tribute to Skynyrd and you'll very clearly hear the references to them

Very good album, but a very different sound than Decoration Day

The tour for Southern Rock Opera is when Isbell joined the band and when I found them

i just asked my roommate/fellow DBT fan and he said he's got that album. i'll get it from him sometime tomorrow. . . and if you're willing to drop ten bucks on the advice of an internet stranger, american aquariums "dances for the lonely" album is awesome. i have been listening to it religiously for years and hasn't gotten old.
