You do realize that all the teams in the SEC are ALL on the South side of the Mason-Dixon line. No wonder you don't like high school.

First of all, if you step back and look at a map of the entire United States, all of the 14 SEC schools are basically in the Southeast. Yes, Mizzou is stretching it, but it's not THAT bad. (I would rather have brought in Va Tech, but whatever...)

More importantly, though, we're getting too hung up on the conference names. The Big # conferences have it right, IMO. Don't affiliate yourself with a geographic region at all, so that no matter who is in, it's just a conference w/ a number. (Obviously, it's dumb that the Big 10 has 12, and the Big 12 has ..... how many do they have now?)

The SEC was started with southeastern schools, and the Big East w/ east-coast schools, but there's no reason they can't expand beyond that. If the Big East was called the American Athletic Conference, would anybody really care that they brought in schools in states that aren't in the eastern half of the country?

The ACC was still relevant in name until the addition of Pitt...with all other states with member schools having coastlines on the Atlantic...

i guess im not a big fan of it stretching out because of the fan base. but admittedly im an ACC guy so i can go see games at 6 of the twelve schools without having to drive over 300 miles, and less than 100 for 4 of them. . . when I think of texas A&M playing a game in florida, it just seems very strange.

UK and vanderbilt dont feel like they fit in the SEC, I would move them out, add Miami, FSU, Clemson.

ACC should be the schools in NC, VA, MD, DL, PA, New England.

Big 10 loses PSU, adds ND.

Bid 12 is Texas schools, OK, Kansas, Akansas, Vanderbilt, Kentucky can move there.

Have a mountain division, with CO, UT NM, AZ, Idaho,

Pac12 adds, Fresno, UNLV, Hawaii, I dont know who else.

Most of the teams in the MAC, Sun Belt, C USA, and the WAC can go disolve into Div IA or whatever. There not D1 schools anyway.

Who ever wins their division makes a playoff and they can play those games at the Rosebowl if they wanna keep the bowl game bull shit alive. Then have a championchip game where ever. I hate bowl games cuz they make everyone feel like a winner. I dont know this is what I came up with during lunch.

We like Vandy and especially Kentucky for Basketball. Also, if we kick out all of the weaker football schools and add in traditional power schools like Miami, FSU, Va Tech, Texas, whatever... You end up with the most brutal conference ever, and you dramatically reduce your ability to compete for a national championship.

I think the fanbase argument is the best one against getting schools from different parts of the country together in one conference. I'll never go to a Bama game at Missouri (unless I HAPPEN to be in the area at the time, which is unlikely), but I'm really not that offended that it's so far away. Most of the time I'd rather watch on my HDTV anyway.

Did you really just call MIZZOU a "power house"?

Anyone hear about the Tennessee kicker this past weekend? They literally pulled him out of a frat house to go kick. It was against Middle Tennessee State, and it was a Vols football game, so no one really cares, and I HATE Derek Dooley because of those stupid pants he wears, but the quotes were pretty funny.

That is the sad thing, it is all about $$$$$. When it's really not suppose to be. There will have to be 4 or 5 undefeated teams in a season for them to finally give up on the BCS and go with a playoff.

I'm not saying I'd want a rematch, and ya'll will/can call me a SEC homer, but I do think they are the 2 best teams in the country.

I like the idea of Clemson, would rekindle the old UGA rivalry and I just think they seem to fit in better.

Yeah I like the idea of rekindling the UGA/Clemson rivalry...but alas...won't happen until you get rid of USC...the SC tv market is already snagged so no financial gain by the SEC
