    Nice. I really like my OME setup. The only thing is the paint chips off easily on the front struts. I don't know why? :notsure:

    Oh well, doesn't effect the way it rides so I'm not complaining.

    Well I have Wheeler's Alcan 5 leaf pack in the rear and then all OME struts, coils, and shocks.

    I should have ridden in your truck for a bit Garret. I'm convinced its my shocks that are squeaking in my front end now and if thats the case they are getting traded out for OME's. I think :(

    It is a little bit of a firm ride with the 881s with my 4 cylinder but I like it. I think I'm going to get the AAL for the 5 leaf pack this winter because with the weight of everything and the camper shell in the bed I'm starting to get some sag. :(

    Can't be any worse than my truck...the Bilsteins have always been too harsh for me. I'd like to see what the OME's are like before diving into that project though.

    did you put in new bushing when you had it done?? Don't see how the shocks could be squeaking otherwise..

    i love my 5100s, they soak up stuff at higher speeds great. course knowing your driving style..you might like the softer OMEs..

    New bushings? Yes.
    I thought it was the ball joints so I had them replaced but that didn't fix the problem. So now I'm thinking its either the shocks (maybe got some water in them?) or the UCA's... Funny thing is that when the truck is wet - like after a car wash - the squeak is gone. The rest of the time it squeaks just as loud as the rear end! :annoyed:

    huh..thats odd..doesn't make much sense..UCAs are too pricey to just throw in a set and i doubt your planning on a good mid travel setup anytime soon so maybe it is the shocks?? Or the lower a arm...

    Sounds like upper control arm bushings to me. Water acts like a temporary lubricant. Very temporary. :eek:

    Try lubing them to isolate the issue before you tear into it. If the sound goes away with a little lubricant then you've got your culprit. Good luck.

    Its probably time to replace. If they are stock, they are rubber and probably worn, hence the noise. I'd try as swiss suggested before you do anything. Us a thin lube, like a penetrating oil on the bushings. If they quite down, you know the problem. But a thin lube wont last very long. The squeak will return. :eek:

    Ever get the squeak muffled?

    Picked up a new Digital SLR...I need a good excuse to get out and get some screen time with it. You guys doing anything exciting in the near future? I've got a very open schedule as of late, and an itching to do some wandering/exploring. (maybe we can cover some recovery stuff)

    its been quiet ever since saturday...maybe something to do with the snow/cold :notsure: and good thing too! its too damn cold to be out working on anything this time of year.

    i'd be up for some exploring but will most likely be in Butte this weekend borrowing dad's garage for a bit....Sunday maybe? or next weekend?
