OK, I'm interested in a 2nd gen set. If the reviews pan out I'll take a set along with some of the interior lights.

These lights are GREAT, I don't recall who I purchased mine from (sorry OP) but you will not believe the improvement over the OEM bulds, but then a lit match was better than the OEM bulbs. Buy em up!

    I'd love to see:
    a) A night picture of the rear-view camera (in an open lot, not against a wall.)
    b) A night picture from the side of the truck in an open lot showing the beam pattern
    c) what they look like in the daylight from 45-70° off axis to simulate what someone in a parking lot will see when I'm backing up.

I think I really want these, but I need to make sure someone can see me backup in daylight and that the rear camera will still be useable. Cheers!

Ok really... take a freaking distance pic. That's great, we can see them on your garage door. They dont look like they throw sideways much

They don't throw sideways much. Are you expecting them to? The bulbs/lenses are pointed backwards. Why would you expect them to throw any light sideways?

    You guys are nuts.

I'll take more pictures, but I know you'll never be happy. Suck it up people.

will these lights help me parallel park? i'm expecting them to make my shifts smoother and my turns more fluent....

if you're worried about the lack of light going sideways, get some small led lights to put under your bumper pointing outwards and have them hooked into your reverse lights, so when you pop it in reverse they also come on to help light behind you..

lol, don't worry about it mate. I'll take moar pictures, but whatever I provide someone is bound to complain.

If the round of pics I take tonight aren't good enough, you guys might just have to deal. I agree I need to take some distance shots, some shots in the daytime, and some shots of the rear cam. But there's no way in hell that these are going to throw any light sideways. They're reverse lights, c'mon people.

He's probably expecting/hoping the lens will diffuse the light. But then again, if the OE bulb doesn't diffuse sideways, the new LED won't.

    Dingdingdingdingding!!!

Also, this LED bulb is much more focused light. So while the lens does diffuse the light quite a bit, it's still more focused (which I was hoping the shots against my garage would highlight ).

aaaaaaarghhh can you tint your lights and shoot a picture to see if the output changes?

can you also paint the lens white or metalic and see if it helps with output?
