Sorry on my Ignorance but I don't know what is exactly the TBS leaf spring.
I drive an 08 Tacoma TRD PreRunner and sometimes without load when I pass a little bump feels like I have no Shocks on the back and always when we are 4 people and the cooler full of beers it feels the "stop" the plastic part to avoid the shock force completely.
Is this normal or should I go to the Dealer?
BTW Im in Mexico... Shame on me

Leaf spring TSB is covered under the 3year/ 36,000 mile warranty. It may or may not be valid in Mexico. You would have to check with your dealer.

The TSB is adding another leaf to your leaf pack to fix the "harsh ride" under a heavy load.
When talking to the dealer mention the "harsh ride TSB "

I carried a full load of firewood yesterday (all oak) & with the new leaf, there was hardly any sag. I took a picture with it loaded.

You can find it in my photos. Can't post, i'm on my DROID x.

my dealer did the TSB without any snags, they even gave me a brand new SUV with awd to bomb around in while they did the work.I said the steering wheel rattled as well and they did that TSB at the same time. Total parts invoiced to Toyota was about 2500$. I was very happy with the whole affair.

Are the dealers installing new shocks on the 2011s too for the tsb?

I need to schedule mine to be installed but wanted to add 5100s in the front. Wanted to know if I should install before so they could do an alignment or if I could just give them the 5100s and they would install instead of the other shocks?

I was told the same thing that people had to claim they are having a harsh ride. But the service manager also told me thet the dealer gets paid by Toyota for installing the TSB. So it makes me wonder WHY in the hell a dealer would not want to do a set of spring and get paid for it.HMMMMM!

I had mine done with no problems at all.

I didnt get shocks just springs and U-bolts

Got mine 2 days ago. Might be my dealership but all i told them was it bottomed out at 600lbs and leaned over in a turn. No questions or no hassle. He ordered the parts same day ( 712.00 per side) and installed Tuesday. I had no issue whatsoever.

Had mine done here with little complaint from the dealer. Told them I ran a load of firewood out of my friends farm field and the thing was squatting to the point people were flashing their high beams (true). Told them that the same friend had an '06 and told me about the TSB (aka TW). Had the parts in a couple days. Gave me a loaner car for the day after asking for it.

'11 OR, they only installed the new leaf and the Ubolts as the springs on the OR are already the updated ones (according to the TSB).

Bumped the back end up about 1"-1.5." Waiting on the tax refund to start messing with fixing that issue :D

I know this post was last year but I might try Ira next if bernardis won't do the work. I had to drop my 09 off today and will hear back from them tomorrow.

:notsure: My guess is probably. If you only have three leafs on the back and it sags with a full load in it then I would bring it in and see what they say.

Would anyone be interested in buying my tsb springs? I only had them for a few thousand miles before changing out for dakars and ome lift.

I got the change on my 2006 Tacoma DC under the extended warranty. I explained I had ''bottom out'' when towing my boat and was able to demonstrate it by the marks on the frame from the bumpers hitting. Between this and the replacement of front hubs for bearing noise I actually recouped more than the cost of the extended warranty
