    Is it a bike wheel? I couldn't make sense of the rod sticking down from the first picture but the second picture made it clearer that it was a spoke.

    yup, it's a bike wheel.

    the little logo in the second pictures is a megnet. it's saying that there is a magnet embedded in the carbon fiber right there, which is used for spedometers/odometers
