    No mods whatsoever!
Crown Vic.'s are history. They stopped making them last year. Ford has a new all wheel drive 4 door and suv called the Interceptor, Chevy has the Caprice back for 2012, Dodge has the Charger. First truck I've seen.

Very cool. Just don't really see any reason for a cop to need a truck aside from the convenience of 4-wheel drive, and that would just be for winter...

Border patrol drives Raptors now, I think. I can sort of see how you could justify that.

^^There are a couple ford SUVs used as squad cars in my town. Both K-9 units and both are used a lot more when it snows.

We have a handful of trucks for specialized units but theyre all unmarked

I'd be interested to know how it does in pursuits

Also, you'll notice at the end of the article it mentions it being a support vehicle...probably for a SWAT/SRT mobilization vehicle

I'm gonna miss the CVic...we're rumored to be going to the new Ford Interceptor, but we are going with the low end FWD V6 model as opposed to the AWD V8...

Im stationed in new mexico, 65ish miles from the border and i have never seen a raptor border patrol vehicle. Here they have lifted jeep wranglers and newer chevy SUV's with he front bumper removed( for ground clearance ) and a slight lift

I've seen Chevy Tahoes used as both police cars and ambulances. The trucks basically have the same characteristics as the older Caprice / CVic - roomy, durable, good power and can hop a curb or median if needed. I think the Ram is only 4x2, actually. Chevy certifies the 4x2 Tahoe as a 140-mph pursuit vehicle, while the 4x4 Tahoe isn't.

I've actually seen a Dodge Caravan used for police duty, and not for parking enforcement either. Maybe prisoner transport?

i dont know how many arlington has but i know we have quite a few of Tahoes and i mean quite a few. they run imapalas but are switching over to dodge. they've had dodge since about late 2009 early 2010 and i know fort worth has a few f-250 super dutys. oh and the tahoes are patrol and not k-9/swat/srt. pertty excessive i'd say but you not to mess with this town lol
