i like the idea of shifting bama & lsu to the east (have to be in the same division b/c play every year no matter what, and strong possibility of playing 2nd time in conference championship game if separate divisions) and put vandy in the west. even though vandy plays tenn every year they would never play twice b/c vandy would never be in the conference championship. be fairly even, east would have slight edge

i wouldn't mind it if i didn't already despise the sec with a passion

    my thoughts exactly

You'd have Alabama, La. State, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all in the same division, and that'd be EVEN? I don't know if you'd ever see a team other than auburn or Arkansas in the SECC from the West (don't kid yourselves aTm). Sure, Florida and Tennessee awful right now, but they'll be back, and the East would be insane.

The West is pretty damn tough as it is. An East with those teams would be a super division.

I caught it. I thought it was well done. It showed both sides of our fan base. I loved how it showed that when it counts, when the chips are down and people need help that we come together as a state, as friends and family...we put the rivalry aside and help each other! I love my school & my state. War Eagle!

Nice! Should be a good game. Usually is when we meet up. We gotta win to keep ourselves in the lead in the East. Unless SC loses to Florida...but I'd much rather beat y'all than have to worry about them. I only had to pay like $30/ticket :D

    GO DAWGS! 'SIC EM!

Sweet on the tix price. Not even sure what I'm paying yet, just have some. AU needs the game for a better bowl, and some confidence before Samford (homecoming) and the suck-ass tyde. Fat chance, but who knows?

Yep, sure did. Bo over the top sure brought back memories.
About Updyke, my hate for that man is greater than you could possibly fathom. He's a worthless, sidewalk alumni, white trash, uneducated, piece of shit that deserves to serve every single minute of the maximum 10 year sentence. I hope somebody makes him their bitch. I could have done without that pole smoker being on the show.

Not sure how Bahr and Crimson's "Dad" got the face time on the program either. Wonder if he received anything for his insightfulness.

Man I've been looking at Ebay and some of the brokers, everything is north of $150 a seat. :( Things are too tight right now for me to spend that much. Usually make it to at least one game every year, looks like it's not going to happen this year. Possibly the KY game but haven't seen anything I wanted, $60 a seat to sit in the 600's. Last year I sat up there for the Ark game and swore that no matter how loud I got nobody below could hear it. Don't care to sit up there again.

Yea I was lookin online and couldn't find em cheaper than $162. There was no way I was payin that. I was wantin to get to more games this year, but I just haevn't had time. I went to the Boise game, but have been wantin to get to Athens. Got these tickets from the girlfriend's brother. Maybe I can still sneak in with a student ID. We'll see. I wasn't passin up $30 tickets. My girlfriend's whole family is goin to the Kentucky game, but I've gotta work Saturday or I'd be goin to that one, too.

i meant auburn and bama to the east. leave lsu in the west. all this conference shifting has fried my mind!?!?!!

    west - east
    lsu - bama
    arkansas - florida/georgia
    ta&m - georgia/florida
    mizz - auburn
    miss st - s carolina
    vandy- tenn
    ole miss - kentucy

divisions match up for most part now and would so in the future, again slight edge to the east, but its not like the west isn't way better now anyways so it'd be and improvement on eveness

i saw the one called roll tide/war eagle if that's what you mean. enjoyed it. interesting to see and hear from guy who poisoned trees

    also jo pa fired:(

Yeah that's the one. Updyke is the loser that did the deed, may he rot in hell.
I refer back to your delusional fan base comment.

Yea, it's sad the way he went out. If he was the person being accused of the assault, I would understand. Of course, I don't know all the details, but he supposedly did what he was supposed to do. He informed his superiors of what happened, and it was supposed to get taken care of. Should he have called the police? No doubt. But, he did what he was legally obligated to do. And to be fired over the phone after being the head coach for, what, 47 years? These guys couldn't have found the balls to at least tell him to his face? I feel sorry for the guy.

Don't get me wrong, what happened was awful, and he could have/should have done more. But the way it all went down in the end is just kinda...sad for Joe Pa.

I knew what you meant, and I think the East would be tough as shit, and the West would be LSU's to win every year. No way you can put Bama and Auburn in the East and call it even divisions, even though geographically it would make a lot of sense.

The West is tough now, but Florida and Tennessee are down. If they were playing they way they have traditionally played (Tennessee for a long time, Florida the last 20 years), then the East would be tough, too. In that scenario, the East would be too tough, and the West too easy.

First of all, read the 23 page Grand Jury presentment. It's devastating. (Don't get me wrong, Sandusky is clearly the sicko, but Joe Paterno clearly should have done more.)

Also check out this timeline. I didn't know how much was KNOWN about Sandusky in the mid 1990s. It makes it so much more unbelievable that he was allowed to continue to prey on young boys.

My problem with the argument that Paterno did 'what he was legally obligated to do' is that HE was the most powerful man at Penn State (some say in the state of PA). His boss was a guy who played for him, and who he helped become the AD. Paterno was the man, and this all happened under his watch. He went to the AD/President, but he knew damn well that Sandusky wasn't in jail... Wouldn't you think that he would have asked about that?

And it's not like he had shaky information about Sandusky. That scumbag was investigated in the 90s for showering with and hugging naked boys in Penn State facilities. The administration and the cops knew about it, but Paterno allowed him to continue to access PSU facilities after he 'retired' in 1998.

The best response I've heard to people who say that Paterno did what he should have done is: What if he knew that YOUR son was being molested at PSU by his friend and colleague? What if he had heard that YOUR son was being abused, and he allowed the abuser to continue?

Wow! That IS unbelievable that he was still allowed to hang around.

Have you guys heard about the reporter out of Boston that went on record saying Sandusky pimped out the victims to wealthy boosters? Nothing has been confirmed yet but if that is true, heads are really going to roll up there.
