Hopefully this will be the missing link inesshell's angles look way better than mine. It's expensive getting all this worked out but definitely worth it :D

Alright guys, I had the Toytec diff. drop installed today, and it seemed to have worked!! I only felt very very light to no vibration...nothing like it was before, so I'm thinking that the CV angle may have been the culprit as I thought. Anyway I wanted to see what you all thought so here's what it looks like now... (BTW, grease splatter comes from greasing the zerks...kinda went everywhere when I drove it this morning lol)

yea no worries. better to spend that 15 bucks than have a blown cv booth with grease everywhere :D either a tire or cv issue when dealing with vibes.

For real man! After driving it again this evening I did notice the vibe again BUT with the CVs looking better im not too worried about it now. It doesn't bother me at all as long as I know nothing is getting torn up.

Well I guess I was wrong. The vibrations are actually not any better after the diff. drop if not maybe a tad worse, even though the CVs are better. I had the alignment done at Toyota yesterday to get that straightened out and while I was there I let them drive it and they said it was normal to have those vibrations after lifting and with my more aggressive tires. But something doesn't feel right to me, I almost feel like I can hear my driveshaft making a (whirring?) sound when I slow down and it only vibrates and makes the noise at lower RPMS say a little over 2000 and below. Also, when I put it in 4 wheel drive this morning to test it out, the vibrations its been making were much less noticeable/gone. What do you think could be going on here? And what would I have to do to fix it? I really love the lift...but I really want to get this straightened out

dang sorry i cant help much after this. but check the carrier bearing. they make drops for these as well but i dont want to make you buy something that might not be needed. as for the noise are you certain its from the rear and not the engine?

i have the v6 so the 4cyl is not too familiar to me.

Regular cab = no carrier bearing. Solid drive shaft. What are you running for tires? Aggressive tires can vibrate when slowing to a stop. It wouldn't make the driveline sounds though. Have you checked the fluid levels for both diffs?

After I did the diff drop, I had to add a 3 deg shim (from Toytec) under the leaf packs to get the pinion angle better. At 50 mph+ I would get a vibration from the rear that was like a whah whah whah oscillating feeling. ( no not me whining!) Shims took care of it.

I still get a slight vibe in front from CV's at 45 mph. But I will live with it.

Nothing real aggressive but moreso than stock, they are firestone destination ats..but I've had them since last winter and never had any problems at all until after I got my new rims and started having the balance issues. But the steering wheel shaking from being out of balance is gone except it shakes lightly at about 70 mph and up but nothing that bothers me at all. And no I haven't checked those..I'm not exactly sure how to be honest

I have that whah whah whah sound too, I have dual exhaust and I can clearly hear it in my exhaust. But I feel the vibration the heaviest when I'm just going slowly not really only the gas. At about 2000 RPM or so and when the RPMS start dropping off is when its the worst.

Might be a long shot but diffs can make noise and vibrate if they're low on oil. You just need to open the fill plug and fill it til oil comes out the fill plug. (Or if you're just checking the oil, pull the plug and stick your finger in and make sure the fluid level is right at the bottom of the fill hole.)

Ok cool..thanks for the tip man! Like I said I had the Toyota guy drive it yesterday and he said it was fine. I let my dad drive it last night and he said it was fine. And then today I took it to the guy that installed the lift and let him drive it and I rode with him explaining what it does and he said that it was nothing that concerned him and to "drive it like I stole it". So I'm beginning to wonder if its just me being paranoid  but still something doesn't feel right to me because it never used to do it, and then that doesn't explain putting it in 4WD and then it not creating the same symptoms.

Thought I read somewhere that there were mixed lug nuts on the vehicle. Just a thought, but two types of lug nuts means that they might have different weights. If you have two different weights spinning, they will give some vibration. Might try swapping all your lug nuts to the same type if they are still different.

Well, I figured I would go ahead and post an update. I had the 3 degree shims put on in the rear which didn't make any difference that I noticed. I also had the diff. drop up front which definitely helped the angle of my cvs (as I showed in earlier pics) but it actually made the vibrations worse so I took it back off. It's still got the pulsing steering wheel and same symptoms as always. And can feel a pretty significant vibration sometimes after slowing down and pushing the clutch in. I'm kind of wondering if it isn't something with the front drive shaft or something. But I took some updated pictures, I know the CV's are kind of steep but I don't really know what to do. It's been back at the shop numerous times, and I just hate that I can't figure out what's wrong with it and I feel like something is really going to tear up or something. (Ignore the splattered grease, we greased the zerks and next time I drove it grease went everywhere lol)

Was testing it out some more today. The vibration and pulsing in the steering wheel and the (wah wah) sound that keeps pulsing in my exhaust all goes away completely when I put the truck in 4wd. Any ideas?!
