I understand that no relays are needed if you only have 2 lights. The lights should come with wiring instructions, but I have not done this myself yet, so I am not really able to help yet. Hopefully I can figure it out once the lights get here. I am sure that some of the many people that have lights already installed can help if needed.

They look pretty legit. They are bigger than I thought they would be and one of them sounds like it has loose parts inside...Im gonna take it apart.

I'm heading out to pick them up now. What size fuses should I use on the fuse block? One has two 4" lights on it, and the other will have 1 7".

I got mine mounted, but I'm going to have to relocate the bracket on my bumper so they fit proper, because they are angled slightly down, and I had to not use that black block thing that is part of the mount(the thing that keeps it from moving up or down). It will do for now, but im gonna have to do some welding later. Thanks Eric!

On page 31 he said they would ship out next week so I'm assuming Monday. He is having to wait on the funds to go from paypal to his bank.

Got mine today, they were packaged great, at first glance all looks good. The 7" are bigger than I thought though. I might be willing to trade someone who got 4's and wish they got 7's. I will bolt them on tomorrow and decide.
Thanks Eric and great job with this.

Come on guys. I bet all of you are posting from a computer that can do search. this was a simple search I did in less than five minutes, uses google with the key words "12 volt relay wiring"

Here is a simple diagram for a relay.

I think you first need to understand why you want to use a relay

The purpose is that you apply the major voltage to one side of the relay and the trigger wire(which will be the wire you use from the switch), does not need to carry the full load of starting/running up the lights. The minor voltage you use to trigger the relay, opens the relay from the supply side of the relay to the feed side(which goes to your lights).

I saw a few posts that said you don't need relays for one set of lights. really, if you want to do this correctly, you should use a relay for even one set of lights. You have less of a chance of overheating a switch( they are usually not meant for loads). The other advantage is that the switch can be set up to disable with ignition.

So while the switch is on. It's a small amp draw on the switch itself. the relay has the major load that carries the voltage that operated the lights
This diagram is a pretty good guide on how to set it up. These lights don't take that much power to work, so you may be able to scale back the wire size some, but this size relay is fairly standard and you will be able to get it at an auto parts store. If you get a relay with a pig tail and plug, it will be easier to splice wires into the pigtail, instead of making individual terminals for each relay pole

The last post before mine was about not knowing anything about wiring. I was just trying to lend a hand . How is this not on topic?
