The rear window gasket on my 2009 Tacoma is deteriorating. It looks like mold is growing on it , but, probably just UV damage. I am getting close to warranty ending - has anyone had this repaired as a warranty issue?
    Thanks for your reply.

they (the dealer) told me to clean it with steel wool! worst part is the moldings on the door glass are doing it too. the truck only has 17,000mi. That was the most rediculous thing I ever heard! I know dealerships hate warranty work but come on 27K and this is what you get? I will get them to change the one on the back window but I am a little nervous about letting them tear the doors apart. Once they are taken apart it seems like they are never the same, no matter who does it.

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
I don't know if this will help, and I really understand your anger, and frustration, i would be pissed off, but on my ol truck after i got her from texas I used 303 Aerospace, there is a thread in detailing, and it really made a world of difference on all the seals and dash. my back window was in very sad shape, and i really let it soak in and its lasted all summer, without drying out again. its $$$ but its worth it.
