yeah I know. lol needless to say that is definitely a tent that would get split up between people. lol. I know I am not gonna be worried about weight during the winter but damn...

lol yeah I definitely plan on splitting it up. Other person will be carrying poles and crap. If I go with a group and camp solo though, I will definitely be looking at a lighter tent.

Hmm I think I may take my kayak and go camping over the thanksgiving four-day weekend. I've always thought about it but never done it. There's an island that's owned by GA called Cumberland. I backpacked there before and you can only access it by boat or ferry. You hardly see anyone there, so it may be pretty fun.

Thanks. That's a batch of breakfast tacos though. I'm a big fan of eating well while camping. The GF cooks at home and I cook outdoors. :)

I need to check that place out!!! There is an island like that up here off Michigan called North Manitou Island.

Looks like you can camp on the beach too!

Do it up! I'm pretty excited, but the paddle there will suck! I'll be putting in at Crooked River State Park and then travel across the river and up in those creeks. Maybe camp at Plum Orchard first then paddle back to Brickhill the next day.

OK I read the last 10 pages or so and need to subscribe!
Here's my setup before and after. I usually go moto camping and take my dog. we also go solo adventure offroad camping without the dirt bike in the
back-country of death valley and southern Nevada. fun stuff!
before soft top I had a solo tent that was really cramped but cozy warm with the right pad and bag in cold weather. current setup is a soft-top with 4" foam pad custom cut to the exact bed dimensions. Underneath I keep all the goodies, table, stove and everything else. When I go camping with the bike I carry the it on the back. It works..

Start a thread and list all the chapters you need. Ask for volunteers for each chapter--I bet you could go camping and get your paper done
