I talked to my local wheel dealer and they told me that the 17" enduros are only made in 4.75" backspace. Is he BSing me?

I actually just did that. It says in a 17x9 the only option is a -6mm offset, which is a 4.75" backspace. im really confused

Well ive got one person saying that their wheels are either 4 or 4.5", ive got another who says his are 5", and then the company which says that they only make them in 4.75". And yes each person has the same 17"x9" wheel.

lol... i'd trust what the people who makes the wheels say. KMC could have made the wheel with a different BS at one point and then changed it. it's not likely, but it's possible.

Good point, thanks Matt. Do you think i can get away with running a 4.75" backspace?

how long are the bolts that go into your dash? Did DMZ straight up drill and tap those holes? or are there nuts under the dash that secure them?

for sure, i've had my lowrance sitting in my bedroom for more than a year now, gonna finally hook it up tonight for tomorrow's prerun, i think im just going to drill two holes into my dash and tap them for M8 bolts.

I wonder how deep I can drill before fucking up my truck

If you want temp...ive got this picture (ill try to upload when i get home) of a guy who mounted his Lowrance Baja 540 in between his steering wheel and speedometer cluster. He adjusted his steering wheel and wedged it right between. I hope you understand what im talking about. Hard to expain.

Anyways he said that it was pretty snug and didnt move around when he went offroading. I would put some double sided tape on the top of the lowrance and the top of the speedometer housing.

That'll be a good temp place before you drill. try it out
