Not to beat a dead:deadhorse: horse, but the PSU coach(McCleery):annoyed: that actually caught Sandusky in the shower with the victim wasn't fired but threats were made against him(hmmm wonder why!)!!! Although he was told not to show up at the game Saturday...The Seniors are boycotting the game and those going are said to be wearing blue instead of white as a show of support for the victims. It's going to take years for the victims to get their lives together if they ever do...Ken

Thanks to all who have served or are serving our great Nation!

I am totally amazed at the people who decry Paterno's firing. Doing what you have to do as opposed to what you should do is a far different issue. And, just like the Captain of a ship, it happened under his watch so he had to go - as did Spanier. Even the Governor used the words "lack of confidence in their ability to lead."

We regret the things we fail to do much more than the things we do.

So sorry for the Pa. folks today.Growing up in old Dixie was not crazy about the cats from up there (The North) but RVN put that to rest..Had the best pals from N.Y., Pa., Ohio. Stand up men who would not let you down. God bless them all for not turning there back on the USA at a bad time in our past. There are no noble war's only noble folks who did there best... You hit a home run Jim. I will be forever blessed by my time in the service. I was able to serve with my peers from all over the country and in some cases from other countries. I feel I am a better person from the exposure.

morning all: it seems strange, mostly vets remember vets. at one time almost everyone was in the military, not any more. OH YEA! penn state. watching the news, and lots of interesting things being talked about. DA dissapeared, that knew info. this guy was reported in, I believe 1998, by the mother of the child, nothing done. football program that accounts for 50M-100M a yr. seems like, AS USUAL, its all about the money!

What is sad is that had JP done the proper legal and moral actions from the start PSU would not be in the situation it is today. Sure there would have been an outcry but the school would be viewed as doing the right thing not a cover up which is tarnishing the rep of the school.

    X2!

anyone watch lottery winners the other night. there was a guy on, with his son. he won 900k,and I'm sure he will be broke shortly. the son was not too bright. at least he's off the food stamps he was receiving- for now! the son is retired at 31, with ALL this money his dad won, and is the dads financial advisor, and a few other things he mentioned. dad bought a new camaro, and drove it up over the curb and then backed it down off of it. that was in the parking lot of the dealership. If anyone saw this interview, it was actually comical.

where's rob? just saw where a guy, working in the oil industry, came up with some type of cancer treatment. probablly not available yet.

guess what I figured out? finally

MOST of the big lottery winners are broke within a year or two.

Hi Carl, hopefully someone will help him out and at least invest for his future...and not take advantage of him for his money...Anymore it seems "money is the root of all evil"...

Haven't heard from Rob, prayers are still going out to them and by the grace of God they can beat this...It has to be really hard to face and support and prayers are the best we can do for them...Ken

    hi sue!

try to catch all the documenteries on this. it amazes me how some of these people can blow that type of money and end up bankrupt. I'm not talking about 900K, I'm talking like 20-30M.

    Hi Carl..

I've never seen a documentary on that, but I have seen news articles about how the person bought this, took this trip, bought this, etc, etc and before you know it, it's gone. "They" say, if you win some $$$ the first two things you should do is get a lawyer and a financial planner before you even go claim your prize. I'd remain annonomous!! Otherwise everyone you ever knew will be knocking at your door.

he has help, the kid, but he's an IDIOT.

It seemed like the 900K, to them, was a mass fortune. they don't realize that in todays world, it isn't. at least pop is getting to enjoying some of it. one thing good-he did buy a house for $170k.

there's another one on called "curse of the lottery" that's pretty interesting.

yea; you would be the local bank. and you would also receive duffle bags of mail from all over, requesting money for whatever. people would get suspicious when 7 new tacomas show up at you'r house. you know, one for each day of the week !
