One of the other techs I work with has a 1986 Kawasaki Concours with over 202,000 miles. So how many millions is that equal to?

I think he means that motorbike mileage is more than car mileage, kinda like dog years.

Which I guess is true... Most bikes don't have hundreds of thousands of miles on 'em. But it's not like there's some conversion ratio that can be agreed upon where 100 miles = 1 mile on a bike or something. They just generally do less miles because they're a vehicle built for a specific purpose.

Oh, and just FYI - there's places outside of Hawai'i :p.

I had an 88 GMC S10 pickup that we retired after 336k. Body was rusting out pretty bad and it was having trouble going up hills lol. My father also drove his 95 Tahoe until somewhere in the 310-320 range. I dont remember exactly what it was at when he traded it in. Needless to say, american cars have been good to us.

American engines aren't usually the problem, it's the transmissions, axles, power steering pumps, water pumps, wheel bearings, abs sensors, steering linkages, motor mounts, wiring harnesses, interior parts, wheel cylinders, door handles, radio, gauge clusters, radiator, etc, etc. And that's just my friends last two middle/late 2000s chevrolets!

^^^^Oops, I forgot both head gaskets, which warped the block and took out the engine.

My dad's 1990 Nissan Hardbody had 337,668 miles on it when he got rid of it for cash for clunkers or whatever it was a couple years ago. It literally never had any problems, aside from basic maintenance. :D

(Had some minor rust on the frame, it spent most of it's life in New York, but my dad took great care of it. :p)

Ive got a 1979 mercedes 300D diesel still on the original engine and transmission with around 400K miles. Runs real strong but dont ask to see the interior. Or the paint job.
